00:01:12.969 --> 00:01:15.969 rather, the proofs of its veracity are manifest. 00:01:15.969 --> 00:01:21.969 However, it may lack the second form of power in certain times and places. 00:01:21.969 --> 00:01:24.969 Without the combination of both forms of power, 00:01:24.969 --> 00:01:30.099 it cannot prevail or spread on a grand scale. 00:01:30.099 --> 00:01:35.099 For this reason, Allah Almighty ordained for His prophets the duty of striving against the enemies of His religion— 00:01:35.099 --> 00:01:38.099 those who obstruct its propagation 00:01:38.099 --> 00:01:41.099 and turn people away from accepting it. 00:01:41.099 --> 00:01:45.099 Thus, this rite became an agreed-upon law 00:01:45.099 --> 00:01:48.099 across all divine dispensations, 00:01:48.099 --> 00:01:54.099 because if an idea lacks a force to protect and convey it, 00:01:54.099 --> 00:01:57.099 it will not be destined to endure or spread. 00:01:57.099 --> 00:02:00.099 Nevertheless, this just rite 00:02:00.099 --> 00:02:04.099 may be suspended from practice in certain times and places 00:02:04.099 --> 00:02:07.099 due to the absence of suitable conditions 00:02:07.099 --> 00:02:12.099 that lead to the desired ends for which it was ordained— 00:02:12.099 --> 00:02:16.099 as was the case during the Meccan period, 00:02:16.099 --> 00:02:19.099 when the Muslims at that time lacked 00:02:19.099 --> 00:02:24.099 the means to withstand a military confrontation. 00:02:24.099 --> 00:02:28.099 But when the Muslims migrated to Medina 00:02:28.099 --> 00:02:33.099 and gained a home, a refuge, numbers, and equipment, 00:02:33.099 --> 00:02:38.099 verses urging jihad began to be revealed in succession, 00:02:38.099 --> 00:02:45.099 continuing to do so until the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) departed this world. 00:02:45.099 --> 00:02:48.099 These verses ranged from commanding fighting 00:02:48.099 --> 00:02:51.099 to forbidding refraining from it, 00:02:51.099 --> 00:02:57.099 encouraging it by detailing its noble outcomes, 00:02:57.099 --> 00:03:04.379 and warning against abandoning it—an act that leads to praiseless consequences. 00:03:04.379 --> 00:03:06.379 The Road to Badr: 00:03:06.379 --> 00:03:10.580 The arrival of the caravans of the Emigrants in Medina 00:03:10.580 --> 00:03:15.580 and their joining with the Ansar to form a new power 00:03:15.580 --> 00:03:20.580 with a creed differing from what people held at that time— 00:03:20.580 --> 00:03:24.580 a creed judging all else to be false, 00:03:24.580 --> 00:03:30.580 calling people to join it and abandon their former religions, 00:03:30.580 --> 00:03:34.580 and bringing about a radical transformation in life— 00:03:34.580 --> 00:03:38.580 all of this was by no means a light matter 00:03:38.580 --> 00:03:41.580 that the forces of falsehood would overlook, 00:03:41.580 --> 00:03:44.580 especially the power of Quraysh, 00:03:44.580 --> 00:03:51.580 which held prominent religious and political leadership at the time. 00:03:51.580 --> 00:03:56.580 Nor should we forget the Jewish tribes residing with the Muslims in Medina, 00:03:56.580 --> 00:04:00.580 who harbored deep-seated animosity toward them, 00:04:00.580 --> 00:04:04.580 in addition to the Bedouins surrounding Medina. 00:04:04.580 --> 00:04:09.580 Therefore, the Muslims' stay in the fragrant city of Medina before Badr 00:04:09.580 --> 00:04:12.580 was not characterized by security and stability, 00:04:12.580 --> 00:04:16.579 nor by peace of mind against surprise attacks from hostile forces. 00:04:16.579 --> 00:04:21.639 Because of this situation, the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) spent a period of time 00:04:21.639 --> 00:04:24.639 never sleeping except under guard, 00:04:24.639 --> 00:04:29.639 and the Muslims likewise slept with their weapons at hand, 00:04:29.639 --> 00:04:33.639 fearing a sudden enemy attack. 00:04:33.639 --> 00:04:38.959 The apprehension of danger at that time was no passing thought; 00:04:38.959 --> 00:04:40.959 rather, it was a prudent sentiment. 00:04:40.959 --> 00:04:46.959 Quraysh was sending its threats to Medina through 'Abdullah Ibn Ubayy Ibn Salul, 00:04:46.959 --> 00:04:48.959 saying: 00:04:48.959 --> 00:04:55.959 "We shall come to you, eradicate you, and destroy your green crops in your very homeland." 00:04:55.959 --> 00:05:01.019 Indeed, matters escalated until a light force of polytheists, 00:05:01.019 --> 00:05:06.019 led by Kurz Ibn Jabir al-Fihri, reached the pastures of Medina, 00:05:06.019 --> 00:05:10.019 plundering some of its livestock and returning safely. 00:05:10.019 --> 00:05:13.180 Since that was the case, 00:05:13.180 --> 00:05:15.180 it became an accepted certainty 00:05:15.180 --> 00:05:21.180 that a bloody clash between the gathering of truth and the gathering of falsehood was imminent. 00:05:21.180 --> 00:05:24.180 Thus, Allah Almighty revealed the permission to fight, 00:05:24.180 --> 00:05:28.180 accompanied by its justifying reasons in His saying: 00:05:28.180 --> 00:05:34.180 “Sanction is given unto those who fight because they have been wronged; and Allah is indeed Able to give them victory;” (22:39) 00:05:34.180 --> 00:05:39.180 "And indeed, Allah is competent to give them victory." 00:05:39.180 --> 00:05:45.180 “Those who have been driven from their homes unjustly only because they said: Our Lord is Allah - For had it not been for Allah's repelling some men by means of others, cloisters and churches and oratories and mosques, wherein the name of Allah is oft mentioned, would assuredly have been pulled down. of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) 00:06:27.790 --> 00:06:29.790 began equipping military expeditions 00:06:29.790 --> 00:06:32.790 and dispatching them to the borders of Medina. 00:06:32.790 --> 00:06:34.860 Thus, actual military operations commenced 00:06:34.860 --> 00:06:36.860 periodically. 00:06:36.860 --> 00:06:38.860 Prior to Badr, there were 00:06:38.860 --> 00:06:41.860 multiple campaigns and expeditions, 00:06:41.860 --> 00:06:43.860 the main objective of most being 00:06:43.860 --> 00:06:47.860 to intercept the commercial trade caravans of Quraysh. 00:06:47.860 --> 00:06:50.860 The purpose was to send a message to Quraysh 00:06:50.860 --> 00:06:54.860 that the eyes of the Muslims were vigilant, 00:06:54.860 --> 00:06:59.860 and that they were a force capable of confronting and fighting. 00:06:59.860 --> 00:07:03.180 The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) 00:07:03.180 --> 00:07:07.180 and the Muslims pursued this military activity vigorously 00:07:07.180 --> 00:07:10.180 through those expeditions and detachments, 00:07:10.180 --> 00:07:14.180 until some of them reached the vicinity of Mecca, 00:07:14.180 --> 00:07:16.180 killing some of the polytheists, 00:07:16.180 --> 00:07:20.180 taking captives and spoils, and returning safely— 00:07:20.180 --> 00:07:22.180 such as the expedition of Nakhlah, 00:07:22.180 --> 00:07:27.180 whose commander was 'Abdullah Ibn Jahsh (may Allah be pleased with him). 00:07:27.180 --> 00:07:29.269 Here, the polytheists realized 00:07:29.269 --> 00:07:33.269 that the Islamic threat to them was no longer an illusion, 00:07:33.269 --> 00:07:35.269 but had become a reality. 00:07:35.269 --> 00:07:39.589 At the height of this military activity shortly before Badr, 00:07:39.589 --> 00:07:43.589 verses inciting to jihad 00:07:43.589 --> 00:07:45.589 were being revealed in various Surahs, 00:07:45.589 --> 00:07:49.589 which further increased the Muslims' enthusiasm and desire 00:07:49.589 --> 00:07:54.589 for the day they would face Quraysh on the battlefield of arms. 00:07:54.589 --> 00:08:00.009 Quraysh could not cease its trade journeys to the Levant, 00:08:00.009 --> 00:08:02.009 which passed by the outskirts of Medina, 00:08:02.009 --> 00:08:06.009 because its livelihood depended entirely upon them. 00:08:06.009 --> 00:08:10.040 Despite the aforementioned repeated interceptions by the Muslims 00:08:10.040 --> 00:08:13.040 of their caravans, 00:08:13.040 --> 00:08:17.040 they continued to travel along that route. 00:08:17.040 --> 00:08:20.170 Regarding one of those caravans, 00:08:20.170 --> 00:08:23.170 news reached the Muslims about it, 00:08:23.170 --> 00:08:26.170 so the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) set out 00:08:26.170 --> 00:08:29.170 with a group of Muslims to pursue it. 00:08:29.170 --> 00:08:32.169 However, they arrived after it had slipped past them, 00:08:32.169 --> 00:08:35.360 so they returned to Medina. 00:08:35.360 --> 00:08:38.360 When news reached them of its return journey, 00:08:38.360 --> 00:08:41.360 the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) prepared 00:08:41.360 --> 00:08:45.360 with three hundred and some odd men from among the Muslims. 00:08:45.360 --> 00:08:49.360 They set out to intercept that caravan. 00:08:49.389 --> 00:08:52.389 News of the Muslims' departure reached 00:08:52.389 --> 00:08:55.389 the leader of the caravan, Abu Sufyan, 00:08:55.389 --> 00:08:58.389 so he altered its route 00:08:58.389 --> 00:09:01.490 and sent a messenger to warn Quraysh. 00:09:01.490 --> 00:09:04.490 Thereupon, the polytheists marched out from Mecca 00:09:04.490 --> 00:09:07.490 with their full strength and weaponry, 00:09:07.490 --> 00:09:10.490 full of pride and arrogance, 00:09:10.490 --> 00:09:13.809 to confront the Muslims with an army 00:09:13.809 --> 00:09:16.809 numbering one thousand fighters. 00:09:16.809 --> 00:09:19.809 When the news reached the Muslims, 00:09:19.809 --> 00:09:24.809 they prepared, accompanied by the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him), 00:09:24.809 --> 00:09:27.809 and set off for the battlefield, 00:09:27.809 --> 00:09:30.809 taking up their positions 00:09:30.809 --> 00:09:33.809 awaiting the hour of the decisive encounter. 00:09:33.809 --> 00:09:37.289 The Dawn of the Day of Criterion: 00:09:37.289 --> 00:09:40.740 On Friday morning, 00:09:40.740 --> 00:09:43.740 corresponding to the seventeenth day of Ramadan 00:09:43.740 --> 00:09:46.740 in the second year of the Hijrah, 00:09:46.740 --> 00:09:49.740 the sun rose over a location 00:09:50.740 --> 00:09:53.740 where two opposing groups stood face to face: 00:09:53.740 --> 00:09:56.740 “There was a token for you in two hosts which met: one army fighting in the way of Allah, and another disbelieving, whom they saw as twice their number, clearly, with their very eyes. Thus Allah strengtheneth with His succour whom He will. Lo! herein verily is a lesson for those who have eyes.” (3:13) 00:09:56.740 --> 00:09:59.769 and the other disbelieving. 00:09:59.769 --> 00:10:02.769 The two parties met without prior preparation 00:10:02.769 --> 00:10:05.769 for a full-scale battle on the part of the Muslims, 00:10:05.769 --> 00:10:08.769 for they had intended only to capture the caravan, 00:10:08.769 --> 00:10:11.960 whereas Allah willed the main military encounter. 00:10:20.960 --> 00:10:23.960 On that fateful morning, 00:10:23.960 --> 00:10:26.960 the clash occurred between swords, 00:10:26.960 --> 00:10:29.960 after the conflict had previously been fought through arguments 00:10:29.960 --> 00:10:33.440 and their refutations. 00:10:33.440 --> 00:10:36.440 There met the oppressed, 00:10:36.440 --> 00:10:39.440 who had been tortured and humiliated, 00:10:39.440 --> 00:10:42.440 and driven from his home and family— 00:10:42.440 --> 00:10:45.440 so that he who was to perish would perish upon clear proof, and he who was to live would live upon clear proof— 00:10:45.440 --> 00:10:48.440 “When ye were on the near bank (of the valley) and they were on the yonder bank, and the caravan was below you (on the coast plain). And had ye trysted to meet one another ye surely would have failed to keep the tryst, but (it happened, as it did, without the forethought of either of you) that Allah might conclude a thing that must be done; that he who perished (on that day) might perish by a clear proof (of His Sovereignty) and he who survived might survive by a clear proof (of His Sovereignty). Lo! Allah in truth is Hearer, Knower.” (8:42) 00:10:49.440 --> 00:10:52.440 facing the oppressive aggressor, 00:10:52.440 --> 00:10:55.440 who had marched out insolently and to be seen by people, 00:10:55.440 --> 00:10:58.440 averting others from the path of Allah 00:10:58.440 --> 00:11:01.600 and fighting His allies. 00:11:01.600 --> 00:11:04.600 That meeting was not out of tribal fanaticism, 00:11:04.600 --> 00:11:07.600 or clan loyalty, 00:11:07.600 --> 00:11:10.600 or nationalism, or worldly aims; 00:11:10.600 --> 00:11:13.600 rather, it was an encounter between faith and disbelief, 00:11:13.600 --> 00:11:16.600 truth and falsehood, and good and evil 00:11:16.600 --> 00:11:19.600 in a decisive battle 00:11:19.600 --> 00:11:22.600 that would determine the course of future interactions. 00:11:22.600 --> 00:11:25.600 For this reason, there met at the point of the spear 00:11:25.600 --> 00:11:28.600 brother against brother, son against father, 00:11:28.600 --> 00:11:31.600 kinsman against kinsman, 00:11:31.600 --> 00:11:34.629 and friend against friend. 00:11:34.629 --> 00:11:37.629 No bond remained except the bond of faith; 00:11:37.629 --> 00:11:40.629 upon it, the opposer was fought, 00:11:40.629 --> 00:11:43.980 and the ally was supported. 00:11:43.980 --> 00:11:46.980 In the thick of battle, 00:11:46.980 --> 00:11:49.980 a swift duel broke out 00:11:49.980 --> 00:11:52.980 that struck off the heads of three champions of the polytheists, 00:11:52.980 --> 00:11:55.980 casting dark shadows 00:11:55.980 --> 00:11:58.980 of terror and panic into the hearts of the disbelievers, 00:11:58.980 --> 00:12:01.980 and throwing confusion and turmoil into their ranks. 00:12:01.980 --> 00:12:04.980 Immediately following this, there began 00:12:04.980 --> 00:12:07.980 a general assault launched by the Muslims, 00:12:07.980 --> 00:12:10.980 sweeping forward like an overwhelming torrent that clears everything in its path, 00:12:10.980 --> 00:12:14.019 or like hungry lions 00:12:14.019 --> 00:12:17.019 pouncing upon prey 00:12:17.019 --> 00:12:20.019 they had long yearned to face. 00:12:20.019 --> 00:12:23.019 In that hour, you saw nothing but flying heads, 00:12:23.019 --> 00:12:26.019 crushed faces, 00:12:26.019 --> 00:12:29.019 severed limbs, splintered bones, 00:12:29.019 --> 00:12:32.019 and flowing blood 00:12:32.019 --> 00:12:35.019 staining bodies and mounts alike. 00:12:35.019 --> 00:12:38.179 Thus, when the heat of battle raged, 00:12:39.179 --> 00:12:42.179 and the shadows of the Muslims' swords 00:12:42.179 --> 00:12:45.179 refused to lift from them, 00:12:45.179 --> 00:12:48.179 the massive armies of disbelief saw their chief leaders 00:12:48.179 --> 00:12:51.179 lying slain beneath the hooves of the horses, 00:12:51.179 --> 00:12:54.179 and so they mounted the saddles of flight, 00:12:54.179 --> 00:12:57.179 nursing their wounds and returning to their homelands 00:12:57.179 --> 00:13:00.179 with whatever men remained of them. 00:13:00.179 --> 00:13:03.179 Thereupon, the ropes and shackles 00:13:03.179 --> 00:13:06.179 of the Muslims grew active, 00:13:06.179 --> 00:13:09.179 capturing whatever they could from the fleeing ranks. 00:13:09.179 --> 00:13:12.340 So the cloud of the Battle of Badr cleared, 00:13:12.340 --> 00:13:15.340 leaving behind seventy dead 00:13:15.340 --> 00:13:18.340 and seventy prisoners from among the polytheists of Quraysh. 00:13:18.340 --> 00:13:21.340 This was a crushing blow, 00:13:21.340 --> 00:13:24.340 the likes of which Quraysh had never suffered before. 00:13:28.009 --> 00:13:31.009 As for the impact left by the battle: 00:13:31.009 --> 00:13:34.259 Indeed, the day of Badr is a radiant day 00:13:34.259 --> 00:13:37.259 upon the forehead of the Ummah of Muhammad, 00:13:37.259 --> 00:13:40.259 a luminous pearl in the necklace 00:13:40.259 --> 00:13:43.259 of bloody struggle throughout its history of jihad, 00:13:43.259 --> 00:13:46.259 and a firm turning point 00:13:46.259 --> 00:13:49.259 that redirected the course of history in those days. 00:13:49.259 --> 00:13:52.259 It forced the mind of falsehood to reevaluate 00:13:52.259 --> 00:13:55.259 its calculations all over again, 00:13:55.259 --> 00:13:58.259 and gave the power of truth a new surge 00:13:58.259 --> 00:14:01.259 of honor, certainty, 00:14:01.259 --> 00:14:04.259 and perseverance on the path of armed confrontation. 00:14:04.259 --> 00:14:07.330 It was the day on which justice was exacted 00:14:07.330 --> 00:14:10.330 for the wronged against the wrongdoer, 00:14:10.330 --> 00:14:13.330 for the oppressed against the oppressor, 00:14:13.330 --> 00:14:16.419 and for the tormented against the tormentor. 00:14:16.419 --> 00:14:19.419 It was the day of Bilal Ibn Rabah, 00:14:19.419 --> 00:14:22.419 when he healed his heart's anguish against Umayyah Ibn Khalaf, 00:14:22.419 --> 00:14:25.419 who used to subject him to the worst of punishments 00:14:25.419 --> 00:14:28.620 in Makkah. It was a day in which 00:14:28.620 --> 00:14:31.620 Makkah was cleansed of the heads of disbelief and misguidance, 00:14:31.620 --> 00:14:34.620 and its quarters breathed a sigh of relief 00:14:34.620 --> 00:14:37.620 as the souls of the leaders of delusion perished— 00:14:37.620 --> 00:14:40.620 those who had been muddying its atmosphere. 00:14:40.620 --> 00:14:43.620 Thus perished Abu Jahl, 00:14:43.620 --> 00:14:46.620 Umayyah Ibn Khalaf, 00:14:46.620 --> 00:14:49.620 Shaybah Ibn Rabi'ah, 00:14:49.620 --> 00:14:52.809 and the likes of those tyrants. 00:14:52.809 --> 00:14:55.809 The day of Badr was a day that shone brightly, 00:14:56.809 --> 00:14:59.809 dispelling whatever darknesses of falsehood it dispelled, 00:14:59.809 --> 00:15:02.809 becoming a stern, bloody lesson 00:15:02.809 --> 00:15:05.809 that any force of falsehood fears 00:15:05.809 --> 00:15:08.809 might be repeated against itself. 00:15:08.809 --> 00:15:12.000 It was the day whose lights encompassed 00:15:12.000 --> 00:15:15.000 all corners of Madinah, 00:15:15.000 --> 00:15:18.000 so the Muslims rejoiced over it with immense joy, 00:15:18.000 --> 00:15:21.000 while the hypocrites and the Jews were consumed by it 00:15:21.000 --> 00:15:24.000 with severe rage, 00:15:24.000 --> 00:15:27.000 returning frustrated to their dark shadows, 00:15:27.000 --> 00:15:30.000 after the confrontation had tempted them to plot, 00:15:30.000 --> 00:15:33.000 thinking that the turn of fortune 00:15:33.000 --> 00:15:36.129 would go against the Muslims 00:15:36.129 --> 00:15:39.129 and against the Prophet himself. 00:15:39.129 --> 00:15:42.129 That joyful day of Ramadan 00:15:42.129 --> 00:15:45.129 was a day that made the pagan tribes 00:15:45.129 --> 00:15:48.129 around Madinah reconsider their evil intentions 00:15:48.129 --> 00:15:51.129 toward the Muslims, 00:15:52.129 --> 00:15:55.289 taking a thousand precautions. 00:15:55.289 --> 00:15:58.289 As for Makkah, 00:15:58.289 --> 00:16:01.480 how sorrowful were the polytheists of Makkah on that day! 00:16:01.480 --> 00:16:04.480 For Makkah had thought that its massive army 00:16:04.480 --> 00:16:07.480 was going out to Madinah as if on a hunting excursion, 00:16:07.480 --> 00:16:10.480 destined to return after killing whomever it killed 00:16:10.480 --> 00:16:13.480 and capturing in its snare 00:16:13.480 --> 00:16:16.480 prisoners from among the Muslims, 00:16:16.480 --> 00:16:19.480 whereupon the polytheists would drink wine 00:16:20.480 --> 00:16:23.639 in celebration of the destruction of Muhammad and his companions. 00:16:23.639 --> 00:16:26.639 Yet while Makkah was in the height of its dreams, 00:16:26.639 --> 00:16:29.639 the vanguard of what remained 00:16:29.639 --> 00:16:32.639 of its fighters entered it, 00:16:32.639 --> 00:16:35.639 dragging the tails of disappointment, 00:16:35.639 --> 00:16:38.639 with terror shrouding their steps, 00:16:38.639 --> 00:16:41.639 widespread fear covering their faces, 00:16:41.639 --> 00:16:44.929 and the dust of calamity looming over their heads. 00:16:44.929 --> 00:16:47.929 Indeed, when the news reached the people of Makkah 00:16:47.929 --> 00:16:50.929 as the first bearer brought news of the battle, 00:16:50.929 --> 00:16:53.929 they would not believe the herald, 00:16:53.929 --> 00:16:56.929 and began mocking his news as mere tales. 00:16:56.929 --> 00:16:59.929 But when the truth blazed clearly before them, 00:16:59.929 --> 00:17:02.929 they were shocked with a shock 00:17:02.929 --> 00:17:05.930 the likes of which they had never felt before. 00:17:05.930 --> 00:17:08.930 Gloom enveloped them, 00:17:08.930 --> 00:17:11.930 profound grief descended upon them, 00:17:11.930 --> 00:17:14.930 and Makkah turned into a vast house of mourning, 00:17:15.930 --> 00:17:18.930 quaffing cups of immense pain. 00:17:18.930 --> 00:17:23.150 What a difference between the remaining host of the polytheists— 00:17:23.150 --> 00:17:26.150 which reached Makkah leaving behind 00:17:26.150 --> 00:17:29.150 its slain and its captives, 00:17:29.150 --> 00:17:32.150 carrying in its hands its disgrace and humiliation— 00:17:32.150 --> 00:17:35.150 and the victorious host of the Muslims, 00:17:35.150 --> 00:17:38.150 which returned to Madinah, 00:17:38.150 --> 00:17:41.150 having paved its path from Badr 00:17:41.150 --> 00:17:44.150 to Madinah with honor and joy, 00:17:44.150 --> 00:17:47.180 entering Madinah while dragging along 00:17:47.180 --> 00:17:50.180 seventy captives, 00:17:50.180 --> 00:17:53.180 and leaving behind them at Badr seventy slain! 00:17:53.180 --> 00:17:56.180 Thus delegations of congratulation received the Prophet, 00:17:56.180 --> 00:17:59.180 while upon his noble face was etched 00:17:59.180 --> 00:18:02.539 the smile of victory and pride. 00:18:02.539 --> 00:18:05.539 He arrived at the abode of Migration (Madinah), 00:18:05.539 --> 00:18:08.539 his eyes comforted by seeing the greatest force 00:18:08.539 --> 00:18:11.539 of misguidance crumbling, 00:18:11.539 --> 00:18:14.599 having witnessed the support of Allah 00:18:14.599 --> 00:18:17.599 guiding the aim of the believers 00:18:17.599 --> 00:18:20.599 and felling the disbelieving enemies of Allah. 00:18:20.599 --> 00:18:24.910 In this event lie profound lessons: 00:18:24.910 --> 00:18:27.910 First, the month of Ramadan 00:18:27.910 --> 00:18:30.910 is a time for vigor and movement 00:18:30.910 --> 00:18:33.910 toward momentous deeds, 00:18:33.910 --> 00:18:36.940 not a time for sitting idle and slothfulness. 00:18:36.940 --> 00:18:39.940 Second, the force of falsehood cannot be deterred 00:18:39.940 --> 00:18:42.940 except by a force of truth 00:18:42.940 --> 00:18:46.299 that stops it from its transgression and insolence. 00:18:46.299 --> 00:18:49.299 Third, the victory of the believers 00:18:49.299 --> 00:18:52.299 over the belligerent disbelievers 00:18:52.299 --> 00:18:55.299 is not through the power of numbers and equipment, 00:18:55.299 --> 00:18:58.299 but through the presence of the element of faith, 00:18:58.299 --> 00:19:01.299 accompanied by the divine support of Allah Almighty. 00:19:01.299 --> 00:19:04.549 Fourth, the arrogance of falsehood 00:19:04.549 --> 00:19:07.549 has a fixed lifespan at which it ends, 00:19:07.549 --> 00:19:10.549 whereupon the radiant star of truth shines brightly. 00:19:10.549 --> 00:19:13.900 Fifth: 00:19:13.900 --> 00:19:16.900 The victory of the force of truth over one faction 00:19:16.900 --> 00:19:19.900 of the forces of falsehood 00:19:19.900 --> 00:19:22.900 strikes fear into that force and its likes, 00:19:22.900 --> 00:19:25.900 as Allah Almighty says: 00:19:37.900 --> 00:19:40.900 "Ramadan: Events and Lessons."
