Hopefully, they will shelter him, support him against his people, and protect him from them

Either because it is the second center of power and sovereignty in the Hijaz after Mecca
Or because his maternal uncles, may God bless him and grant him peace, are from Halima Al-Saadia, from Banu Thaqif
The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, decided to go to Taif, walking on my feet
With him was his master Zaid bin Haritha, may God be pleased with him
He asks Thaqif for victory and protection from his people

He is washing the clothes of the Kaaba if God sent you
The other said
Has God not found anyone to send except you?
The third said
By God, I will never talk to you again
Because you are a messenger from God, as you say
Because you are too dangerous for me to talk back to you
And because you are lying to God
What should I talk to you about?
So the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, got up from them
He despaired of supporting Thaqif
And he told them
If you do what you did
So keep it quiet from me
They did not
The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, stayed among them for ten days
So they tempted their fools and slaves with it
They curse them and shout at him
And they hurt him the most
And they got what his people did not get
They told him to get out of our country
Their fools stood in two rows
They started throwing stones at him
Until his feet were bloody, may God bless him and grant him peace
Zaid bin Haritha, may God be pleased with him, protected him himself
Until he got hit in the head
So the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, left
From Taif to Mecca sad
And in his reference, may God bless him and grant him peace
He called upon his Lord with the famous supplication
Oh God, to You I complain of the weakness of my strength and my lack of resourcefulness
And I love people
O Most Merciful of the Merciful
You are the Lord of the oppressed
And you are my Lord
To whom do you entrust me?
Far away, he frowns at me
Or to an enemy whose queen is my command?
If you are not angry with me, I do not care
But your health is broader than mine
I seek refuge in the light of your face that illuminates the darkness
And the affairs of this world and the hereafter were settled for him
To inflict your anger on me
Or your anger will come upon me
I admonish you until you are satisfied
There is no power or strength except with You
If the worlds long for each other for a long time
The longing for you has no limits
May God bless you as soon as the call is raised
