Written by Sheikh Musa Bel-Rashed Al-Azmi
May God protect him
The virtue of the people of Badr
Imam Bukhari narrated in his Sahih
On the authority of Moaz bin Rifa’ah bin Rafi’ Al-Zarqi
On the authority of his father
His father was from the people of Badr
He said
Gabriel came to the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace
And he said
You do not consider the people of Badr to be among you
He said
One of the best Muslims
Or a word like it
He said
Likewise, any of the angels who witnessed a full moon
The two sheikhs narrated it in their Sahihs
On the authority of Ali bin Abi Talib, may God be pleased with him, he said
The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said
He witnessed a full moon
I mean, Hatib bin Abi Balta'ah
May God be pleased with him
How do you know? Perhaps God saw those who witnessed Badr and said
Do whatever you want, for I have forgiven you
Al-Hafiz said in Al-Fath
It is great news that did not happen to others
Imam bin Al-Qayyim said
And those who thought about that, and God knows best
This speech is for a people whom God Almighty has known
They do not abandon their religion
Rather, they die following Islam
They may commit some of the sins that others commit
But God Almighty does not leave them insisting on it
Rather, guide them to sincere repentance and seeking forgiveness
And good deeds erase the effect of that
They will be designated for this purpose and not for others
Because this has been achieved in them
And they are forgiven
This does not preclude the fact that forgiveness occurred due to reasons that were caused by them
This also does not require that he suspend the obligatory prayers out of trust in forgiveness
If it had happened without continuing to carry out the orders
After that, I did not need prayer, fasting, or Hajj
There is no zakat or jihad
This is impossible
One of the most obligatory duties is repentance after that
Guaranteeing forgiveness does not require disabling the reasons for forgiveness
Likewise, the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, gave him good tidings of Paradise
Or tell him that he is forgiven
Neither he nor other companions understood it
Releasing his sins and transgressions
And forgive him for neglecting his duties
Rather, they were more diligent, cautious, and fearful after the good news than they were before it
Like the ten who are acclaimed for Paradise
Imam Muslim narrated in his Sahih
On the authority of Jabir, may God be pleased with him, he said
A servant of Hatib came to the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, complaining to Hatib
He said, O Messenger of God, let them enter the Fire
The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said
She lied, he wouldn't enter it
He witnessed Badr and Al-Hudaybiyyah
Imam Bukhari narrated in his Sahih
On the authority of Anas bin Malik, may God be pleased with him, he said
Umm al-Rabi` is the daughter of righteousness
She is the mother of Haritha bin Suraqa
She came to the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, and said
O Prophet of God
Don't tell me about Haritha
He was killed on the day of Badr
He was hit by a western arrow
That is, he does not know his shooter
If he is in Paradise, you will be patient
Even if it is otherwise
She tried to make him cry
The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said
Oh Umm Haritha
It is a paradise in paradise
And your son has attained the highest paradise
Al-Hafiz Ibn Kathir said
This is a great warning about the virtue of the people of Badr
Imam Bukhari narrated in his Sahih
On the authority of Moaz bin Rifa’ah bin Rafi’
Rifa'ah was from the people of Badr
Rafi was one of the people of Aqaba
He was saying to his son
لا يسرني أني شهدت بدرا بالعقبة
Al-Hafiz said in Al-Fath
What appears to be Rafi’ bin Malik
لم يسمع من النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم
التصريح بتفضيل أهل بدر على غيرهم
He said what he said with diligence
I likened it to the obstacle
It was the origin of the support of Islam
And the reason for the migration from which it arose
لكن الفضل بيد الله يؤتيه من يشاء
And God knows best
