The Everlasting Deeds of Righteousness
The reward for performing ablution thoroughly and taking many steps toward the mosques
On the authority of Abu Hurayrah, may Allah be pleased with him,
that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said:
"Shall I not guide you to that by which Allah effaces sins and raises ranks?"
They replied, "Yes, O Messenger of Allah."
He said, "Performing ablution thoroughly despite difficulties,
taking many steps toward the mosques,
and waiting for the next prayer after the current one;
for that is the true spiritual vigil."
