Allah decrees that some people experience weakness in certain areas.
For a wisdom known only to Him, glorified be He.
You may find one who is blind, for instance.
You may find another who is mentally disabled.
A third who is missing one or more of his limbs.
Or one who is destitute and impoverished.
Or one suffering from a chronic illness.
And so on.
Yet, in Islam, these individuals possess immense spiritual value.
As the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said:
"You are only granted provision and victory through your weak ones."

Contrast this with Hitler,
Who would dispose of wounded German soldiers,
Because the cost of their treatment,
Yielded no material benefit.
Others follow in his footsteps,
Believing likewise that the vulnerable deserve death,
Which they term "euthanasia."
Furthermore, one who appears weak,
Or suffers from a sensory impairment,
May possess other virtues,
That many who appear healthy do not attain.
How many a scholar of fiqh,
Or a renowned reciter from the villages,
Was blind.
