A Summary of the Concepts of Ahl al-Sunnah
Among the harm and negative consequences of failing to understand contemporary reality:
First, succumbing to the arguments of sophists and deceivers,
and unintentionally issuing fatwas that align with their desires,
enabling them to achieve their evil ends by which they afflict the Ummah with turmoil.
For when certain scholars fail to recognize these cunning objectives
and issue fatwas devoid of any awareness of these sophists' underlying motives,
their fatwas unintentionally lead to
the legitimization of certain evils
and the propagation of false concepts.
Second, narrating hadiths to people
that may cause them internal spiritual trial or confusion
due to their intellects' inability to grasp them.
This is the meaning of the statement of 'Ali (may Allah be pleased with him):
"Speak to people according to what they can understand.
Do you wish for Allah and His Messenger to be denied?"
