Ramadan Hadiths
Ibn 'Umar (may Allah be pleased with him and his father) reported:
"The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) had two muezzins:
Bilal and Ibn Umm Maktum, who was blind.
The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said:
'Bilal calls the adhan during the night,
so eat and drink
until Ibn Umm Maktum calls the adhan.'"
The narrator noted, "There was no interval between their two calls to prayer
except for the time it took for one to step down and the other to climb up."
