Ramadan Hadiths

00:00:03.660 --> 00:00:09.869
Ibn 'Umar (may Allah be pleased with him and his father) reported:

00:00:09.869 --> 00:00:15.339
"The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) had two muezzins:

00:00:15.339 --> 00:00:19.339
Bilal and Ibn Umm Maktum, who was blind.

00:00:19.339 --> 00:00:23.899
The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said:

00:00:23.899 --> 00:00:27.489
'Bilal calls the adhan during the night,

00:00:27.489 --> 00:00:29.649
so eat and drink

00:00:29.969 --> 00:00:33.090
until Ibn Umm Maktum calls the adhan.'"

00:00:33.090 --> 00:00:37.170
The narrator noted, "There was no interval between their two calls to prayer

00:00:37.170 --> 00:00:41.729
except for the time it took for one to step down and the other to climb up."
