Then he ordered a man from the people,

The man could not help himself after this gentle treatment

saying, 'O Allah, have mercy on me and on Muhammad,

and do not have mercy on anyone else with us.'

The Prophet, peace be upon him, said,

'You have narrowed something vast,'

meaning you have constricted that which is wide.
