Ubaidullah Ibn Abi Jaafar, may God have mercy on him, said
He died in the year one hundred and thirty-four AH
Scholars are the light of the country
From them he draws the light that guides him
Nations and states do not rise
Except for brilliant scholars in every field
And those who are creative in their specializations
They serve their religion, their country, and their people
Because they are the beacon of life and the landmarks of guidance
The saddle of civilization and advancement
This means developing educational life
And enhance its capabilities and fields
Until knowledge reveals the names of their goals and aspirations
Youth change, goals rise, and generations advance
For them, developing their minds is better than developing their bodies
Perfect hearts are better than perfect bodies
Thoughts prevail over luxuries and distractions
Then we see civil and cultural development
Our countries compete with and outperform other nations
What is important is to advance science and educate generations on that
Igniting the fuse of inspiration and sharpening resolve
And give the rest to the van
And preferring the precious over the trivial and miserable
If you venture into the honor of Marum, do not be content with anything less than the stars
Let our aspirations be high and the ambitions of our youth high
Do not accept the inferior or the humiliating
