A serious challenge to who I am
I am one of the female companions
God sent down a Qur’an to be recited to me
This is because my husband, Awsa bin Al-Samit, may God be pleased with him
He got angry with me one day and said, “You are like my mother’s back.”
Then he wanted to see me
So I told him: No, by the One in whose hand is my soul
Don't finish with me after I said what I said
Until God judges us with His wisdom
Then I came to the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace
So she sat in my hands
So I mentioned to him what I had heard from my husband
I started complaining to him about his bad behavior
Then I mentioned to him what he told me about zihar
He, may God bless him and grant him peace, said
I don't see you as being forbidden to him
So I said, O Messenger of God
I have grown old and my bones have weakened
And he has children
If you leave them to him, he will be lost
If I keep them with me, they will be hungry
So the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, started saying
I don't see you as being forbidden to him
I was arguing with the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace
By God, I have not left my place
Until the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, fainted
What revelation was covering him?
Then hide from him
He said to me
God has sent down a Qur’an about you and your companion
Then Ali Sadr recited Surat Al-Mujadila
The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said to me
Let him free his slave
So I said, O Messenger of God
He has nothing to free
He said
Let him fast for two consecutive months
So I said
By God, he is a great sheikh
What is fasting?
He said
Let him feed sixty poor people
So I said
By God, O Messenger of God
He doesn't have that
So the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, gave me dates
And he said
Go and give him alms on his behalf
Then ask your cousin for good
So I did
And one day
Caliph Omar bin Al-Khattab, may God be pleased with him, left the mosque
And with him is Al-Jaroud Al-Abdi
He is one of the noblest Arabs
Omar saw me on the back of the road
So he greeted him
She replied, “Peace be upon him.”
Then I said
She is Omar
I saw you called Umair in Souq Okad
Terrorize boys with your stick
The days did not pass until she was named Omar
Then the days did not pass until I was named Commander of the Faithful
So fear God in the shepherd
He knew that he was the one who feared the threat
Close to him far away
And whoever fears death
Fear of missing out
Al-Jaroud said to me
You have said a lot about the Commander of the Faithful
Omar said to him
Leave it
Do you not know her?
This is what God heard from above the seven heavens
Omar, by God, is more deserving of listening to her
