Perchance he may prove useful to us or we may adopt him as a son. Thus we established Joseph in the land that We might teach him the interpretation of events. al-'Aziz wanted to lure Yusuf into temptation, 00:05:42.319 --> 00:05:45.319 so she prepared the means and locked the doors. 00:05:45.920 --> 00:05:48.720 But Allah is predominant over His command. 00:05:49.319 --> 00:05:53.120 So He protected Yusuf and shielded him from falling into the temptation. 00:05:54.050 --> 00:05:57.449 The wife of al-'Aziz wanted to deflect the accusation from herself, 00:06:17.269 They scheme and plot against him, 00:06:17.670 --> 00:06:20.870 but Allah is predominant over His command. 00:06:21.829 --> 00:06:25.029 Plotting and scheming in this era are of two types: 00:06:25.629 --> 00:06:28.230 One type relates to the laws of Islam, 00:06:28.629 --> 00:06:31.629 and one type relates to the carriers of this religion, 00:06:31.829 --> 00:06:34.230 those who convey the message from the Lord of the worlds, 00:06:34.629 --> 00:06:37.629 from among the scholars, callers, and reformers. 00:06:38.620 --> 00:06:40.819 As for the plotting against the laws of Islam, 00:06:41.220 --> 00:06:43.420 it is through raising doubts, 00:06:43.819 --> 00:06:45.819 attacking the fundamentals of the religion, 00:06:46.220 --> 00:06:48.620 stirring up controversial issues, 00:06:49.019 --> 00:06:53.220 and casting doubt on everything that is necessarily known of the religion. 00:06:53.620 --> 00:06:58.420 It is also by making people doubt their acts of worship and distracting them from the obedience of their Lord. 00:06:59.220 --> 00:07:03.019 They only do this to extinguish the light of Islam. 00:07:03.620 --> 00:07:08.019 Allah, the Exalted in His highness, has exposed them in His Book, saying: 00:07:08.620 --> 00:07:12.620 “Fain would they put out the light of Allah with their mouths, but Allah disdaineth (aught) save that He shall perfect His light, however much the disbelievers are averse.” (9:32) 00:07:13.220 --> 00:07:18.620 “Fain would they put out the light of Allah with their mouths, but Allah disdaineth (aught) save that He shall Then, can they expect aught save the treatment of the folk of old?
