A hadith and commentary
On the authority of Abu Hurayrah, may Allah be pleased with him, who said:
When the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, was on a journey
and the time of the last part of the night (sahar) arrived,
he would say:
"May a witness bear witness to our praise of Allah and His good favor upon us.
Our Lord, accompany us and bestow Your bounty upon us,
as we seek refuge in Allah from the Fire."
It was recorded by Muslim.
Commentary:
This Sunnah,
which is the recitation of this supplication during travel at the time of the last part of the night,
is a lesser-known Sunnah.
So spread it, may Allah have mercy upon you.
