The Garden of Guidance Allah, Mighty and Majestic, said: “But none is granted it save those who are steadfast, and none is granted it save the owner of great happiness.” (41:35) “But none is granted it save those who are steadfast, and none is granted it save the owner of great happiness.” (41:35) And on the authority of Abu Tha'labah al-Khushani (may Allah be pleased with him), that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Ahead of you are days of patience, wherein patience will be like holding onto burning coals. The one who acts righteously in those times will have the reward of fifty men performing the same deed." Another narrator added: Someone asked, "O Messenger of Allah, the reward of fifty of them?" He replied, "Rather, the reward of fifty of you." Recorded by Abu Dawud. A Point of Benefit: Yunus ibn Yazid (may Allah have mercy on him) said: "I asked Rabi'ah ibn Abi 'Abd al-Rahman: 'What is the utmost of patience?' He replied: 'That one's state on the day calamity strikes is the same as it was before it struck.'"
