He appointed Abu Bakr, may God be pleased with him, as successor over the people
He ordered me to march in the army
To the destination to which the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, directed me
He walked with me and said goodbye to me
And I'm riding
As he walks
So I said, O successor of the Messenger of God
Either ride
Or I will go down
And he said
By God, I will not get off or get on
I do not have to dust my feet for an hour for the sake of God
He asked me for permission at Omar, may God be pleased with him
To stay with him in the city
So I gave him permission
