A summary of the concepts held by the Ahl al-Sunnah. Comprehensive security. When security and its related matters are mentioned by many people today, they understand it to mean only the security of lives, wealth, and honor. Yet, the concept of comprehensive security, when invoked, is not limited to these matters alone. Rather, more important than all these necessities is security in matters of religion and protecting it from deviation and erroneous concepts. Indeed, security regarding one’s religion occupies the highest priority. Furthermore, those who speak of security often restrict their discourse to security in this worldly life, failing to extend their understanding or discussion to security in the grave from its trials and punishment, nor to the complete, eternal security, which is security on the Day of Resurrection from its terrors, and entry into the Gardens of Bliss, regarding which Allah—Mighty and Majestic is He—said: "Enter them in peace, secure."
