From Bani Abdul Ashhal
Those whom the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, praised by saying:
The best role of the Ansar
Bin Al-Najjar
Then Ibn Abdul-Ashhal
I entered Paradise and did not prostrate myself before God
I used to deal with people with usury in pre-Islamic times
I had a lot of usurious money
My people were offering me Islam
He prevents me from entering into it
For fear of wasting my money
When the Battle of Uhud took place
God slandered the heart of Islam
So I came to ask about my cousins
And about people from my people
So I was told
They went out to fight the polytheists at Uhud
So I dressed for my nation and rode my horse
Then I went out to fight
Some Muslims saw me
They said to you about us
So I said
I have believed in God
Then I fought until the wounds fixed me
I was on the verge of death
So they took me to my people
Bani Abdul Ashhal
So ask me why I came
Is it a diet for my people?
Or the anger of God and His Messenger?
So I said
Rather, it is the wrath of God and His Messenger
Then my spirit was overflowing
I did not pray a single prayer to God
So they mentioned my matter to the Prophet
He said that he is among the people of Paradise
Who am I?
