A verse and its Tafsir
Allah the Exalted says:
"And the life of this world is nothing but the enjoyment of delusion."
Allah describes this world, stating:
"And the life of this world is nothing but the enjoyment of delusion."
This is to diminish its significance,
and to belittle its status,
for it is lowly, fleeting, perishable, and meager.
Qatadah, may Allah have mercy on him, said:
"The world is a temporary enjoyment that will be left behind."
"I swear by Allah, besides whom there is no god,"
"that it will soon vanish from its people."
"So, take from this enjoyment the obedience of Allah, if you are able."
Tafsir of Ibn Kathir
