WEBVTT 00:00:00.400 --> 00:00:03.399 In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. 00:00:03.399 --> 00:00:06.400 Some righteous deeds have begun to fade from among the people. 00:00:06.400 --> 00:00:09.400 They have become forgotten or are on the verge of extinction. 00:00:09.400 --> 00:00:12.589 I have found some people striving to preserve 00:00:12.589 --> 00:00:15.589 the species of certain animals 00:00:15.589 --> 00:00:17.820 for fear of their extinction. 00:00:17.820 --> 00:00:20.820 Indeed, there are laws that punish those who cause 00:00:20.820 --> 00:00:23.879 the extinction of certain animals. 00:00:23.879 --> 00:00:26.879 But when moral virtues begin to go extinct, 00:00:26.879 --> 00:00:29.039 who will stand up for them? 00:00:29.039 --> 00:00:33.039 Among the virtues that are fading and being forgotten day by day 00:00:33.039 --> 00:00:36.070 is a magnificent virtue: 00:00:36.070 --> 00:00:39.299 fulfilling the needs of others. 00:00:39.299 --> 00:00:42.299 The Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, 00:00:42.299 --> 00:00:45.299 used to strongly encourage this deed. 00:00:45.299 --> 00:00:48.299 He said, "The most beloved of people to Allah 00:00:48.299 --> 00:00:51.299 is the one who is most beneficial to people." 00:00:51.299 --> 00:00:54.299 And the most beloved of deeds to Allah, the Almighty and Majestic, 00:00:54.299 --> 00:00:57.299 is bringing joy to a Muslim, 00:00:57.299 --> 00:01:00.359 or relieving him of a hardship, 00:01:00.359 --> 00:01:03.359 or paying off a debt for him, 00:01:03.359 --> 00:01:06.359 or driving away hunger from him. 00:01:06.359 --> 00:01:09.359 "For me to walk with a brother to fulfill a need 00:01:09.359 --> 00:01:12.359 is dearer to me than to seclude myself in this mosque for months," 00:01:12.359 --> 00:01:15.359 meaning the mosque of Medina. 00:01:15.359 --> 00:01:18.359 "Whoever restrains his anger, Allah will conceal his faults." 00:01:18.359 --> 00:01:21.359 And whoever suppresses his rage, 00:01:21.359 --> 00:01:24.359 even though he could have acted upon it, 00:01:24.359 --> 00:01:27.359 hoping for the reward of the Day of Resurrection. 00:01:27.359 --> 00:01:30.359 "And whoever walks with his brother to fulfill a need until it is secured for him, 00:01:30.359 --> 00:01:33.359 Allah will make his feet firm 00:01:33.359 --> 00:01:36.709 on the day when feet shall slip." 00:01:36.709 --> 00:01:39.709 On the authority of Abu Hurayrah, may Allah be pleased with him, who said: 00:01:39.709 --> 00:01:42.709 The Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, said: 00:01:42.709 --> 00:01:45.780 "Whoever relieves a believer of a hardship, 00:01:45.780 --> 00:01:48.780 Allah will relieve him of a hardship from the hardships 00:01:48.780 --> 00:01:51.780 of the Day of Resurrection." 00:01:52.780 --> 00:01:55.780 Allah will make things easy for him in this world and the Hereafter. 00:01:55.780 --> 00:01:58.780 "And Allah is in the aid of the servant 00:01:58.780 --> 00:02:01.780 as long as the servant is in the aid of his brother." 00:02:01.780 --> 00:02:05.099 Among the virtues of fulfilling needs, 00:02:05.099 --> 00:02:08.159 Allah the Almighty says: 00:02:08.159 --> 00:02:11.159 “Whoso interveneth in a good cause will have the reward thereof, and whoso interveneth in an evil cause will bear the consequence thereof.
