A summary of the concepts held by the Ahl al-Sunnah.
The pre-Islamic standards regarding terrorism.
Contemporary proponents of falsehood maintain two contradictory positions on terrorism.
The first is their practice of it in its most heinous forms and at the highest levels.
They justify their actions by claiming they are acts of self-defense or support for the oppressed.
Or, as they allege, that they are for the sake of spreading Islam and freedom.
Examples of this include the actions taken by the Jews and the Americans in Muslim lands.
Such as in Palestine, Afghanistan, and Iraq.
This is accompanied by the American claim that they came to spread freedom and democracy.
And to remove the specter of extremism and dictatorship from these countries.
Under these pretexts, hundreds of thousands have been killed.
Indeed, millions of Muslims whose blood is sacred.
Another example is the harm inflicted by tyrants within Muslim lands.
And elsewhere, upon sincere callers to the faith and reformers.
By torturing them and casting them into prisons and detention centers.
And sentencing some of them to death.
All of this is done under the pretext of combating terrorism.
While in reality, it is the very essence of terrorism and criminality.
The second position:
Condemning those who hold fast to the foundations of Islam and its rites.
Accusing them of terrorism.
And describing Jihad for the sake of Allah—
Whether it be defensive or offensive—
As terrorism that must be fought and its people eradicated.
The purpose behind this is clear and exposed.
They wish to prevent Muslims from exercising their right to fight their enemies.
In order to rescue their oppressed brothers.
And to reclaim their usurped rights.
They also seek to prevent them from working to spread the Islamic call and protect it.
And from bringing people to the worship of the Lord of the worlds.
