WEBVTT 00:00:00.000 --> 00:00:03.000 In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. 00:00:15.220 --> 00:00:18.219 Mawaddah Association is pleased 00:00:18.219 --> 00:00:22.219 to present to you snapshots from the lives of the Companions 00:00:22.219 --> 00:00:25.219 by 'Abd al-Rahman Ra'fat al-Basha, 00:00:25.219 --> 00:00:27.260 may Allah have mercy on him. 00:00:27.260 --> 00:00:33.920 'Abdullah ibn Mas'ud, may Allah be pleased with him. 00:00:45.240 --> 00:00:51.140 He was at that time a young boy who had not yet reached puberty, 00:00:51.140 --> 00:00:55.140 tending his flock in the mountain passes of Makkah, far away from people. 00:00:55.140 --> 00:00:59.140 He had with him sheep that he was pasturing for one of the chieftains of Quraysh, 00:00:59.140 --> 00:01:01.140 namely 'Uqbah ibn Abi Mu'ayt. 00:01:01.140 --> 00:01:04.140 People used to call him "Ibn Umm 'Abd" (the son of the mother of a slave), 00:01:04.140 --> 00:01:06.140 while his given name was 'Abdullah, 00:01:06.140 --> 00:01:09.140 and his father's name was Mas'ud. 00:01:09.140 --> 00:01:13.140 The youth used to hear news of the Prophet who had appeared among his people, 00:01:13.140 --> 00:01:16.140 but he paid no attention to it, partly due to his tender age 00:01:16.140 --> 00:01:20.140 and partly because he was so distant from Makkan society. 00:01:20.140 --> 00:01:24.140 For he was accustomed to going out with 'Uqbah's sheep at early dawn, 00:01:24.140 --> 00:01:28.140 not returning with them until night fell. 00:01:28.140 --> 00:01:33.140 One day, the Makkan youth, 'Abdullah ibn Mas'ud, saw 00:01:33.140 --> 00:01:38.140 two dignified, middle-aged men approaching him from afar. 00:01:38.140 --> 00:01:41.140 Exhaustion had taken a heavy toll on them, 00:01:41.140 --> 00:01:47.140 and their thirst was so intense that their lips and throats were completely parched. 00:01:47.140 --> 00:01:50.200 When they reached him, they greeted him and said, 00:01:50.200 --> 00:01:54.200 "O young man, milk one of these sheep for us 00:01:54.200 --> 00:01:57.200 so that we may quench our thirst 00:01:57.200 --> 00:01:59.200 and moisten our veins." 00:01:59.200 --> 00:02:02.230 But the youth replied, "I will not do so. 00:02:02.230 --> 00:02:06.230 The sheep are not mine; I am merely entrusted with them." 00:02:06.230 --> 00:02:09.229 The two men did not object to his answer, 00:02:09.229 --> 00:02:12.229 and satisfaction with him was evident on their faces. 00:02:12.229 --> 00:02:14.229 Then one of them said to him, 00:02:14.229 --> 00:02:18.229 "Show me a ewe that has not yet mated with a ram." 00:02:18.229 --> 00:02:23.229 The youth pointed to a small ewe near him. 00:02:23.229 --> 00:02:26.229 The man stepped up to it, held it, 00:02:26.229 --> 00:02:30.229 and began wiping its udder with his hand while mentioning the name of Allah over it. 00:02:30.229 --> 00:02:34.229 The youth looked at him in astonishment, saying to himself, 00:02:34.229 --> 00:02:39.229 "Since when do small sheep that have never mated with rams 00:02:39.229 --> 00:02:41.229 yield milk?" 00:02:41.229 --> 00:02:44.229 But it was not long before the ewe's udder swelled, 00:02:44.229 --> 00:02:48.229 and milk began gushing from it abundantly. 00:02:48.229 --> 00:02:52.229 The other man took a hollowed stone from the ground 00:02:52.229 --> 00:02:54.229 and filled it with milk. 00:02:54.229 --> 00:02:56.229 He and his companion drank from it, 00:02:56.229 --> 00:02:59.229 and then they offered me some to drink with them, 00:02:59.229 --> 00:03:02.229 while I could scarcely believe what I was seeing. 00:03:02.229 --> 00:03:04.229 When we had drunk our fill, 00:03:04.229 --> 00:03:06.229 the blessed man said to the ewe's udder, 00:03:06.229 --> 00:03:08.229 "Shrink!" 00:03:08.229 --> 00:03:12.229 And it kept shrinking until it returned to its original state. 00:03:12.229 --> 00:03:14.229 Thereupon, 00:03:14.229 --> 00:03:16.229 I said to the blessed man, 00:03:16.229 --> 00:03:19.229 "Teach me some of these words you have spoken!" 00:03:19.229 --> 00:03:23.360 He replied to me, "You are a taught, receptive boy." 00:03:23.360 --> 00:03:28.360 This was the beginning of 'Abdullah ibn Mas'ud's journey with Islam. 00:03:28.360 --> 00:03:30.360 For the blessed man was none other than 00:03:30.360 --> 00:03:34.360 the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, 00:03:34.360 --> 00:03:38.360 and his companion was none other than Abu Bakr al-Siddiq, may Allah be pleased with him. 00:03:38.360 --> 00:03:42.360 They had fled that day into the mountain passes of Makkah 00:03:42.360 --> 00:03:45.360 due to the extreme persecution inflicted by Quraysh, 00:03:45.360 --> 00:03:48.360 and the severity of the trials they had poured upon them. 00:03:48.360 --> 00:03:52.520 Just as the young boy came to love the noble Messenger and his companion 00:03:52.520 --> 00:03:54.520 and became attached to them, 00:03:54.520 --> 00:03:57.520 so too did the Messenger and his companion admire the youth, 00:03:57.520 --> 00:04:00.520 greatly appreciating his honesty and resolute character, 00:04:00.520 --> 00:04:02.520 discerning in him much goodness. 00:04:02.520 --> 00:04:04.520 Before long, 00:04:04.520 --> 00:04:06.520 'Abdullah ibn Mas'ud embraced Islam 00:04:06.520 --> 00:04:10.520 and offered his services to the Messenger of Allah. 00:04:10.520 --> 00:04:14.520 So the Messenger, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, took him into his service. 00:04:14.520 --> 00:04:16.519 From that day onward, 00:04:16.519 --> 00:04:20.519 the fortunate youth, 'Abdullah ibn Mas'ud, transitioned 00:04:20.519 --> 00:04:22.519 from tending sheep 00:04:22.519 --> 00:04:25.519 to serving the master of all creation and nations. 00:04:25.519 --> 00:04:27.519 'Abdullah ibn Mas'ud remained devoted to 00:04:27.519 --> 00:04:30.519 the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, 00:04:30.519 --> 00:04:33.519 sticking to him like his very shadow. 00:04:33.519 --> 00:04:36.519 He accompanied him whether he was resident or traveling, 00:04:36.519 --> 00:04:39.519 remaining by his side inside the house and outside it. 00:04:39.519 --> 00:04:42.519 He would wake him when he slept, 00:04:42.519 --> 00:04:44.519 screen him when he washed, 00:04:44.519 --> 00:04:47.519 put on his sandals for him when he intended to go out, 00:04:47.519 --> 00:04:51.519 take them off his feet when he was about to enter, 00:04:51.519 --> 00:04:54.519 carry his staff and miswak, 00:04:54.519 --> 00:04:58.519 and enter the apartment ahead of him when he retired to his room. 00:04:58.519 --> 00:05:01.519 Indeed, the Messenger, peace be upon him, 00:05:01.519 --> 00:05:05.519 permitted him to enter upon him whenever he wished 00:05:05.519 --> 00:05:09.519 and to learn his private affairs without hesitation or fear of fault, 00:05:09.519 --> 00:05:13.519 to the point that he was called "the keeper of the secret of the Messenger of Allah." 00:05:13.519 --> 00:05:15.519 'Abdullah ibn Mas'ud was raised 00:05:16.519 --> 00:05:18.519 in the household of the Messenger of Allah; 00:05:18.519 --> 00:05:21.519 he was guided by his guidance, adopted his noble characteristics, 00:05:21.519 --> 00:05:25.519 and followed him in every single one of his traits, 00:05:25.519 --> 00:05:33.519 until it was said of him that he was the closest of all people to the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, in guidance and demeanor. 00:05:33.519 --> 00:05:39.550 Ibn Mas'ud learned in the school of the Messenger, peace be upon him, 00:05:39.550 --> 00:05:42.550 becoming one of the most proficient readers of the Qur'an among the Companions, 00:05:42.550 --> 00:05:44.550 the most knowledgeable of them regarding its meanings, 00:05:44.550 --> 00:05:46.550 and the most versed in Allah's sacred law. 00:05:46.550 --> 00:05:50.550 Nothing illustrates this better than the story of the man 00:05:50.550 --> 00:05:54.550 who came to 'Umar ibn al-Khattab while he was standing at 'Arafah, 00:05:54.550 --> 00:05:58.550 and said to him, "O Commander of the Faithful, I have come from Kufa, 00:05:58.550 --> 00:06:03.550 where I left a man dictating copies of the Qur'an from memory." 00:06:03.550 --> 00:06:07.550 Upon hearing this, 'Umar grew exceedingly angry, as he rarely ever did, 00:06:07.550 --> 00:06:11.550 swelling with rage until he almost filled the space between the pommels of his saddle. 00:06:11.550 --> 00:06:14.550 He demanded, "Woe to you! Who is he?" 00:06:14.550 --> 00:06:17.550 The man replied, "'Abdullah ibn Mas'ud." 00:06:17.550 --> 00:06:23.550 'Umar's anger immediately subsided, his composure returned, and he calmed down, 00:06:23.550 --> 00:06:29.550 then said, "Woe to you! By Allah, I know of no person remaining 00:06:29.550 --> 00:06:34.550 who is more entitled to this matter than he. Let me tell you about that." 00:06:34.550 --> 00:06:37.550 'Umar resumed his speech and said, 00:06:37.550 --> 00:06:40.550 "The Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, 00:06:40.550 --> 00:06:43.550 was chatting late one night at Abu Bakr's place, 00:06:43.550 --> 00:06:46.550 discussing the affairs of the Muslims, 00:06:46.550 --> 00:06:48.550 and I was with them. 00:06:48.550 --> 00:06:51.550 Then the Messenger of Allah left, and we left with him. 00:06:51.550 --> 00:06:56.550 Suddenly, we saw a man standing and praying in the mosque, whom we could not clearly identify, 00:06:56.550 --> 00:07:01.550 so the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, stopped to listen to him. 00:07:01.550 --> 00:07:04.550 Then he turned to us and said, 00:07:04.550 --> 00:07:08.550 'Whoever would be pleased to recite the Qur'an fresh and tender as it was revealed, 00:07:08.550 --> 00:07:12.550 let him recite it according to the recitation of Ibn Umm 'Abd.' 00:07:12.550 --> 00:07:15.550 Then 'Abdullah ibn Mas'ud sat down suppliantly making supplication, 00:07:15.550 --> 00:07:19.550 and the Messenger, peace be upon him, began saying to him, 00:07:19.550 --> 00:07:22.550 'Ask, and you shall be given! Ask, and you shall be given!' 00:07:22.550 --> 00:07:24.550 'Umar then added, saying, 00:07:24.550 --> 00:07:29.550 'I said to myself: By Allah, I will surely go early tomorrow to 'Abdullah ibn Mas'ud 00:07:29.550 --> 00:07:35.550 to give him the glad tidings of the Messenger's, peace be upon him, saying "Amen" to his supplication! 00:07:35.550 --> 00:07:38.550 So I went to him in the morning to convey the glad tidings, 00:07:38.550 --> 00:07:42.550 only to find that Abu Bakr had already preceded me to him and given him the news! 00:07:42.550 --> 00:07:46.550 By Allah, I never tried to race Abu Bakr toward any good deed 00:07:46.550 --> 00:07:48.550 but that he beat me to it.' 00:07:48.550 --> 00:07:53.550 So vast was 'Abdullah ibn Mas'ud's knowledge of the Book of Allah 00:07:53.550 --> 00:07:55.550 that he used to say, 00:07:55.550 --> 00:07:58.550 'By Allah, besides Whom there is no deity except Him, 00:07:58.550 --> 00:08:01.550 no verse of the Book of Allah was revealed 00:08:01.550 --> 00:08:04.550 except that I know where it was revealed 00:08:04.550 --> 00:08:06.550 and regarding what it was revealed. 00:08:06.550 --> 00:08:11.550 And if I knew of anyone more knowledgeable than me regarding the Book of Allah whom camels could reach, 00:08:11.550 --> 00:08:13.550 I would surely travel to him.' 00:08:13.550 --> 00:08:18.550 'Abdullah ibn Mas'ud was not exaggerating in what he said about himself. 00:08:18.550 --> 00:08:21.550 For here is 'Umar ibn al-Khattab, may Allah be pleased with him, 00:08:21.550 --> 00:08:24.550 encountering a caravan during one of his journeys. 00:08:24.550 --> 00:08:28.550 Night had fallen, cloaking the caravan in its darkness, 00:08:28.550 --> 00:08:31.550 and 'Abdullah ibn Mas'ud happened to be among the travelers. 00:08:31.550 --> 00:08:36.549 'Umar ordered a man to call out to them, "Where is the party from?" 00:08:36.549 --> 00:08:38.549 'Abdullah replied to him, 00:08:38.549 --> 00:08:40.549 "From the deep mountain pass (al-fajj al-'amiq)." 00:08:40.549 --> 00:08:43.549 'Umar asked, "Where are you heading?" 00:08:43.549 --> 00:08:45.549 'Abdullah answered, 00:08:45.549 --> 00:08:47.649 "To the Ancient House (al-Bayt al-'Atiq)." 00:08:47.649 --> 00:08:49.649 'Umar remarked, 00:08:49.649 --> 00:08:51.679 "There is a scholar among them." 00:08:51.679 --> 00:08:53.679 He then ordered a man to call out to them, 00:08:53.679 --> 00:08:55.679 "Which part of the Qur'an is the greatest?" 00:08:55.679 --> 00:08:57.679 'Abdullah replied to him, 00:08:57.679 --> 00:09:06.179 "◁ Allah! There is no deity except Him, the Ever-Living, the Sustainer of all existence. ▷" 00:09:06.179 --> 00:09:12.500 “Allah! There is no deity save Him, the Alive, the Eternal. Neither slumber nor sleep overtaketh Him. Unto Him belongeth whatsoever is in the heavens and whatsoever is in the earth. Who is he that intercedeth with Him save by His leave? He knoweth that which is in front of them and that which is behind them, while they encompass nothing of His knowledge save what He will. His throne includeth the heavens and the earth, and He is never weary of preserving them. He is the Sublime, the Tremendous.” (2:255) 00:09:12.500 --> 00:09:14.500 'Umar said, "Call out to them: 00:09:14.500 --> 00:09:16.500 Which part of the Qur'an is the most decisive?" 00:09:16.500 --> 00:09:18.500 'Abdullah replied, 00:09:18.500 --> 00:09:23.500 “Lo! Allah enjoineth justice and kindness, and giving to kinsfolk, and forbiddeth lewdness and abomination and wickedness. He exhorteth you in order that ye may take heed.” (16:90) 00:09:23.500 --> 00:09:27.559 "◁ Indeed, Allah orders justice and good conduct and giving to relatives, ▷ 00:09:27.559 --> 00:09:31.559 ◁ and forbids immorality ▷ 00:09:31.559 --> 00:09:34.559 ◁ and bad conduct and oppression. ▷ 00:09:34.559 --> 00:09:41.289 ◁ He admonishes you that perhaps you will be reminded. ▷" 00:09:41.289 --> 00:09:43.289 'Umar said, 00:09:43.289 --> 00:09:44.289 "Call out to them: 00:09:44.289 --> 00:09:46.289 Which part of the Qur'an is the most comprehensive?" 00:09:46.289 --> 00:09:48.289 'Abdullah replied, 00:09:48.289 --> 00:09:53.289 "◁ So whoever does an atom's weight of good will see it. ▷" 00:09:53.289 --> 00:10:00.289 “And whoso doeth ill an atom's weight will see it then.” (99:8) 00:10:00.289 --> 00:10:02.450 'Umar said, 00:10:02.450 --> 00:10:03.450 "Call out to them: 00:10:03.450 --> 00:10:05.450 Which part of the Qur'an is the most terrifying?" 00:10:05.450 --> 00:10:07.450 'Abdullah replied, 00:10:07.450 --> 00:10:16.450 “It will not be in accordance with your desires, nor the desires of the People of the Scripture. He who doeth wrong will have the recompense thereof, and will not find against Allah any protecting friend or helper.” (4:123) 00:10:16.450 --> 00:10:22.480 "◁ Whoever does an evil will be recompensed for it, ▷ 00:10:22.480 --> 00:10:26.539 “It will not be in accordance with your desires, nor the desires of the People of the Scripture. He who doeth wrong will have the recompense thereof, and will not find against Allah any protecting friend or helper.” (4:123) 00:10:26.539 --> 00:10:30.539 ◁ nor will he find for himself besides Allah any protector or helper. ▷" 00:10:30.539 --> 00:10:31.539 'Umar said, 00:10:31.539 --> 00:10:33.539 "Call out to them: 00:10:33.539 --> 00:10:35.539 Which part of the Qur'an gives the greatest hope?" 00:10:35.539 --> 00:10:37.539 'Abdullah replied, 00:10:37.539 --> 00:10:41.539 "◁ Say, 'O My servants who have transgressed against themselves... ▷ 00:10:41.539 --> 00:10:49.539 “Say: O My slaves who have been prodigal to their own hurt! Despair not of the mercy of Allah, Who forgiveth all sins. Lo! He is the Forgiving, the Merciful.” (39:53) 00:10:49.539 --> 00:10:55.539 “Say: O My slaves who have been prodigal to their own hurt! Despair not of the mercy of Allah, Who forgiveth all sins. Lo! He is the Forgiving, the Merciful.” (39:53) 00:10:55.539 --> 00:11:01.539 ◁ Indeed, He is the Forgiving, the Merciful.' ▷" 00:11:01.539 --> 00:11:02.539 'Umar then said, 00:11:02.539 --> 00:11:03.539 "Call out to them: 00:11:03.539 --> 00:11:06.539 Is 'Abdullah ibn Mas'ud among you?" 00:11:06.539 --> 00:11:07.539 They answered, 00:11:07.539 --> 00:11:09.539 "By Allah, yes!" 00:11:09.539 --> 00:11:12.669 And 'Abdullah ibn Mas'ud was not 00:11:12.669 --> 00:11:15.669 merely a reciter, scholar, worshipper, and ascetic; 00:11:15.669 --> 00:11:16.669 rather, 00:11:16.669 --> 00:11:18.669 along with all that, he was 00:11:18.669 --> 00:11:20.669 strong, resolute, 00:11:20.669 --> 00:11:22.669 a courageous warrior— 00:11:22.669 --> 00:11:24.799 when serious matters called for action. 00:11:24.799 --> 00:11:29.799 Suffice it to say that he was the first Muslim on the face of the earth to recite the Qur'an aloud 00:11:29.799 --> 00:11:32.799 after the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him. 00:11:32.799 --> 00:11:36.799 One day, the Companions of the Messenger of Allah gathered in Makkah 00:11:36.799 --> 00:11:39.799 when they were few and weak, 00:11:39.799 --> 00:11:40.799 and they said, 00:11:40.799 --> 00:11:45.799 "By Allah, Quraysh has never heard this Qur'an recited to them aloud. 00:11:45.799 --> 00:11:48.860 Who is the man who will make them hear it?" 00:11:48.860 --> 00:11:50.860 'Abdullah ibn Mas'ud said, 00:11:50.860 --> 00:11:53.860 "I will make them hear it." 00:11:53.860 --> 00:11:54.860 They said, 00:11:54.860 --> 00:11:56.860 "We fear for you from them. 00:11:56.860 --> 00:11:59.860 We want a man who has a clan 00:11:59.860 --> 00:12:03.860 to protect him and defend him from them if they intend harm against him." 00:12:03.860 --> 00:12:04.860 He replied, 00:12:04.860 --> 00:12:05.860 "Let me be, 00:12:05.860 --> 00:12:08.860 for Allah will surely protect and defend me." 00:12:08.860 --> 00:12:13.860 Then the next morning he went to the Mosque until he reached the Station of Ibrahim during the forenoon, 00:12:13.860 --> 00:12:16.860 while Quraysh were sitting around the Ka'bah. 00:12:16.860 --> 00:12:19.860 He stood by the Station and recited, 00:12:19.860 --> 00:12:21.860 "In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful," 00:12:21.860 --> 00:12:24.860 raising his voice with it: 00:12:24.860 --> 00:12:28.539 "The Most Gracious, 00:12:28.539 --> 00:12:31.539 Taught the Qur'an, 00:12:31.539 --> 00:12:37.549 Created man, 00:12:37.549 --> 00:12:40.549 Taught him eloquent speech." 00:12:40.549 --> 00:12:43.190 And he continued reciting it. 00:12:43.190 --> 00:12:46.190 Quraysh looked closely at him and said, 00:12:46.190 --> 00:12:48.190 "What is the son of Umm 'Abd saying? 00:12:48.190 --> 00:12:50.190 May he perish! 00:12:50.190 --> 00:12:53.190 He is reciting some of what Muhammad brought!" 00:12:53.190 --> 00:12:55.190 So they stood up and went to him, 00:12:55.190 --> 00:12:58.190 and began striking his face while he kept reciting, 00:12:58.190 --> 00:13:02.190 until he had recited as much of it as Allah willed him to recite. 00:13:02.190 --> 00:13:06.190 Then he returned to his companions with blood flowing from him. 00:13:06.190 --> 00:13:07.190 They said to him, 00:13:07.190 --> 00:13:10.190 "This is what we feared for you." 00:13:10.190 --> 00:13:13.190 He said, "By Allah, the enemies of Allah were never 00:13:13.190 --> 00:13:16.190 more insignificant in my eyes than they are right now. 00:13:16.190 --> 00:13:20.190 And if you wish, I will go to them and do the exact same thing tomorrow." 00:13:20.190 --> 00:13:23.190 They said, "No, that is enough for you; 00:13:23.190 --> 00:13:26.220 you have made them hear what they detest." 00:13:26.220 --> 00:13:28.220 'Abdullah Ibn Mas'ud lived 00:13:28.220 --> 00:13:31.220 until the caliphate of 'Uthman (may Allah be pleased with him). 00:13:31.220 --> 00:13:34.220 When he fell illness in his final sickness, 00:13:34.220 --> 00:13:36.220 'Uthman came to visit him 00:13:36.220 --> 00:13:37.220 and said to him, 00:13:37.220 --> 00:13:39.220 "What do you complain of?" 00:13:39.220 --> 00:13:40.220 He said, 00:13:40.220 --> 00:13:41.220 "My sins." 00:13:41.220 --> 00:13:42.220 He said, 00:13:42.220 --> 00:13:44.220 "And what do you desire?" 00:13:44.220 --> 00:13:45.220 He said, 00:13:45.220 --> 00:13:47.220 "The mercy of my Lord." 00:13:47.220 --> 00:13:48.220 He said, 00:13:48.220 --> 00:13:53.220 "Shall I order that your stipend be given to you, which you have refused to take for years?" 00:13:53.220 --> 00:13:54.220 He said, 00:13:54.220 --> 00:13:56.220 "I have no need of it." 00:13:56.220 --> 00:13:57.220 He said, 00:13:57.220 --> 00:14:00.220 "Let it be for your daughters after you." 00:14:00.220 --> 00:14:01.220 He said, 00:14:01.220 --> 00:14:03.220 "Do you fear poverty for my daughters? 00:14:03.220 --> 00:14:08.220 I have commanded them to recite Surah Al-Waqi'ah every night, 00:14:08.220 --> 00:14:13.220 for I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) say, 00:14:13.220 --> 00:14:16.220 'Whoever recites Al-Waqi'ah every night, 00:14:16.220 --> 00:14:18.220 poverty shall never strike him.'" 00:14:18.220 --> 00:14:21.350 And as night fell, 00:14:21.350 --> 00:14:25.350 'Abdullah Ibn Mas'ud joined the Highest Companion, 00:14:25.350 --> 00:14:28.350 his tongue moist with the remembrance of Allah, 00:14:28.350 --> 00:14:31.350 fresh with His clear verses. 00:14:31.350 --> 00:14:37.409 "Whosoever would be pleased to recite the Qur'an fresh as it was revealed, 00:14:37.409 --> 00:14:41.409 let him recite it according to the recitation of the son of Umm 'Abd." 00:14:41.409 --> 00:14:44.789 Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah.
