2. Bustan al-Huda.
3. Allah, Mighty and Majestic is He, said:
“Would ye then, if ye were given the command, work corruption in the land and sever your ties of kinship?” (47:22)
“Such are they whom Allah curseth so that He deafeneth them and maketh blind their eyes.” (47:23)
“Will they then not meditate on the Qur'an, or are there locks on the hearts?” (47:24)
7. And on the authority of Abu Hurayrah, may Allah be pleased with him,
8. from the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, who said:
9. "Allah created all of creation,
10. and when He finished creating it,
11. the womb arose
12. and clung to the waist of the Most Merciful.
13. He said to it, 'Cease!'
14. It said,
15. 'This is the station of one seeking refuge in You from being severed.'
16. He said,
17. 'Are you not pleased that I maintain ties with whoever maintains ties with you,
18. and sever ties with whoever severs ties with you?'
19. It replied,
20. 'Yes indeed, my Lord!'
21. He said, 'Then so it shall be.'"
22. Abu Hurayrah then said:
23. "Recite if you wish:
“Would ye then, if ye were given the command, work corruption in the land and sever your ties of kinship?” (47:22)
25. Muttafaq 'alayh (Agreed upon).

26. Maymun Ibn Mihran said:
27. 'Umar Ibn 'Abd al-'Aziz said to me:
28. "Do not keep company with one who severs family ties,
29. for Allah, Blessed and Exalted, has cursed such a person in two verses of the Qur'an:
30. A verse in Surah ar-Ra'd,
31. His saying, Blessed and Exalted is He:
32. ﴾and sever what Allah has commanded to be joined, and cause corruption in the land,﴿
“And those who break the covenant of Allah after ratifying it, and sever that which Allah hath commanded should be joined, and make mischief in the earth: theirs is the curse and theirs the ill abode.” (13:25)
34. and a verse in Surah Muhammad, peace be upon him,
35. His saying, Blessed and Exalted is He:
