The aesthetics of the Prophetic biography: the smiling personality.
He captivates you from afar with a serene radiance that emerges from his smiles.
It illuminates like a shimmering moon, catching every eye and filling the spaces.
He is loved from the very first glance, and his fragrance is sensed in every direction.
He is the virtuous caller, the smiling believer, and the skilled hunter of hearts.
Just like the Messenger, peace be upon him, and those among his followers who walked his path.
Jarir ibn 'Abdullah al-Bajali, may Allah be pleased with him, says:
"The Prophet, peace be upon him, never denied me entry since I embraced Islam,
and he never saw me without smiling in my face."
This smile is the lawful magic, the magnetic messenger,
the pledge of affection, and the hallmark of the soul.
As the poet said: "I greet my guest with a smile before he even unloads his baggage,
and he finds abundance with me, even when the land is barren.
True abundance for guests is not found in the quantity of food provided,
but rather, it is the face of the generous host that is abundant."
It is an authentic hadith: "Your smiling in the face of your brother is a charity."
The opposite of this well-received personality
is the silent, frowning, and gloomy character,
like one who has just emerged from a hot oven,
as if he is in a dilemma or has been struck by a calamity.
Even when he speaks, he does so with a heavy demeanor;
he is deprived of this warmth and approachability.
He is not following the guidance of the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him.
He paints upon his face a portrait of coldness and mourning,
as if he is in distress or his mind is preoccupied with worry and grief.
This is neither from the Sunnah nor from the attributes of the people of faith.
