So the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, sent me with them
And six others from the honorable companions
So we went out with them even when we were back
His tribe, Dhail, came to us to capture us and sell us to the people of Mecca
They gave us covenants and covenants
Will no harm befall us from them if we lay down our weapons?
Some of us did not respond to them and fought them until we were killed
As for me, I laid down my weapon and they took me prisoner with them
When we arrived in Mecca, Safwan bin Umayyah bought me from them to kill me on behalf of his father

Abu Sufyan told me when they brought me to kill
I asked you, God, do you like that Muhammad is with us now in your place?
So you strike his neck while you are among your family
I said, “By God, I do not like Muhammad to be in the place he is in now.”
A thorn hits him and hurts him while I am sitting among my family
Abu Sufyan said: I have not seen anyone love anyone
Like the love of Muhammad’s companions for Muhammad
Then they brought me forward and hit my neck
