Types of men in the hadith of Umm Zara’

This type of man is violent with his wife
He beat her a lot
Beating is often combined with other bad qualities
Such as harshness, rudeness, and quickness and intensity of anger
With a lack of wisdom in dealing with matters
Hitting women is one of the issues where the problem occurred
In terms of understanding and application for some people
Some of them deny beating and reject it completely
Some of them misapply spanking
It exceeds the legal limits
Some of them are those whose insight is enlightened by God
He uses multiplication if necessary, according to legal controls
The reason why people differ is in their stance on a man hitting his wife
It is the concepts that each category carries
And the societal culture spread in society
To correct these concepts
We need to approach the issue from several aspects
First multiply the project
God Almighty said
Men are guardians of women
Because God has favored some of them over others
And what they spent of their money
The righteous women are obedient and protect the unseen with what God has preserved
And those from whom you fear disobedience, admonish them and leave them in their beds and beat them
If they obey you, do not seek a way against them

You are not allowed to hit her
Even if it is of the second type, it is the disobedient one
Do not rush to burn the stages
And go straight to multiplication
God has commanded you otherwise
Al-Tahir bin Ashour, may God have mercy on him, said
And he said, “Admonish them, and leave them in their beds, and beat them.”

As required by the order in which they are mentioned
As I see it, it is not intended to combine the three

Saeed bin Jubair said
He advises her if she accepts, otherwise he abandons her
If she accepts, otherwise he hits her
But what type of beating is it permissible for him to use to discipline her?
Scholars agree that this beating is a form of discipline
And it's not torture
Ibn Kathir, may God have mercy on him, said
And he said, “Strike them.”
That is, if they are not deterred by admonition or abandonment
You may beat them without causing any harm
As proven in Sahih Muslim
On the authority of Jabir, on the authority of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace
As he said in his farewell pilgrimage
And fear God regarding women
If they are common people among you
You are required to not let anyone you hate put on your bed
If they do, beat them not severely
They shall be provided with and clothed in a reasonable manner
This was also said by Ibn Abbas and more than one person
Unexplained beating
Al-Hasan Al-Basri said
I mean, it's not effective
Jurisprudence said
It is not to break a limb
It does not affect anything
If the scholars talk about the quality of multiplication
It is a light beating that does not affect her
So what is the benefit of multiplication?
Who knows women well?
He knows that women are affected psychologically
She may cry bitterly
If her husband beat her lightly
Not because she was physically hurt
But because she feels inferior in status
When he hit her
It means something else
He was the one who hit her
Able to do what women hate
Of divorce or marriage to her
If it was after a light beating
She still has a living heart
The thought is that she will abandon nushuz
She returns to her husband and obeys him
Thus saving the family
From disintegration and cracking with its rationality
Muhammad Abu Zahr, may God have mercy on him, said
The third is the medicine for nashouz
Multiplication is the maximum

Except when the previous two medications fail

A degree at which there is fear of discord and separation
The Sunnah restricted it with two restrictions
One of them is that it is not unpleasant

About unexplained beatings
He said it was beating with a skewer or something similar
This is permissible beating
It is a symbol of deserving of being beaten
Not by hitting
Al-Tahir bin Ashour, may God have mercy on him, said
It seems that permission to strike
To take into account precise circumstances between spouses
So the husband was allowed to beat his wife in a way that was corrective
For the purpose of establishing intercourse between them
If it exceeds what is required by its state of discord
He was an aggressor
These are the precise conditions that scientists talk about
It is a woman's disobedience to a man
And upload it to him in more than one form
Which insults the man
He loses his personality at home
And it is most severe on the male psyche
What a disobedient person does in front of his children
The children rebel against him because of her
Muhammad Rashid Reda, may God have mercy on him, said

We are faced with two options, not a third
In dealing with the disobedient
Which didn't work for her
Biting or abandoning
Either we allow the man
To use what he permitted
May God give him a light beating
Who disciplines women
And restores her sanity
Or the family will be destroyed
By dropping the man's personality
Or divorce
