00:00:00.000 --> 00:00:06.500
Forty hadiths on the virtue of charity.

00:00:06.500 --> 00:00:13.539
On the authority of Abu Hurayrah, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said:

00:00:13.539 --> 00:00:21.359
"Charity does not decrease wealth, and Allah increases a servant in honor through pardoning."

00:00:21.359 --> 00:00:30.199
"And no one humbles himself for the sake of Allah but that Allah raises him." Recorded by Muslim.

00:00:30.199 --> 00:00:41.979
Regarding his statement, "Charity does not decrease wealth," scholars have mentioned two interpretations: the first is that it means Allah blesses the wealth and wards off harm from it.

00:00:41.979 --> 00:00:49.179
Thus, the apparent decrease is compensated for by hidden blessings, a reality recognized through both sensory experience and common observation.

00:00:49.179 --> 00:01:00.780
The second interpretation is that even if the wealth decreases in form, the reward ordained for it compensates for that decrease and increases it many times over.
