The Forty Hadiths of al-Nawawi
On the authority of Ibn Mas'ud, may Allah be pleased with him, who said:
The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said:
"The blood of a Muslim man is not lawful except in one of three cases:
A previously married adulterer,
A life for a life,
And the one who abandons his religion and separates from the community."
Narrated by al-Bukhari and Muslim.
This hadith clarifies the immense sanctity of life in Islam,
And that the fundamental principle is the preservation and protection of human life.
Thus, the blood of a Muslim is not made lawful except in specific cases,
Which the Sacred Law has defined with justice and wisdom.
The hadith affirms that Islam is a religion that establishes security and stability,
Prevents chaos and aggression,
And makes the preservation of rights and lives one of its greatest objectives.
