In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah.
A Concise Summary of the Prophetic biography.

May Allah preserve him.
The Muslims' route to Badr.
The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, set out.
Until he reached al-Rawha'.
He camped there.
Then he departed and continued his journey.
When he drew near to al-Safra',
He sent Basbas bin 'Amr al-Juhani,
And 'Adi bin Abi al-Zaghba',
May Allah be pleased with them both,
To Badr to scout for news of the caravan.
Then the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, departed,
Until he reached the valley of Dhafran,
Where he camped.
The mobilization of the people of Makkah and their departure.
When Abu Sufyan, the leader of the caravan, received news
Of the departure of the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him,
And his intention to intercept it,
He hired Damdam bin 'Amr al-Ghifari to go to Makkah,
To call out to the Quraysh to mobilize for the sake of their caravan,
So that they might protect it from Muhammad, peace be upon him, and his Companions.
The cry reached the people of Makkah,
And they rose up in haste, mobilizing fully for the expedition.
Not a single one of their nobles remained behind, except for Abu Lahab,
Who sent al-'As bin Hisham bin al-Mughirah in his place.
Their number was one thousand fighters,
With one hundred horses,
And a great number of camels, the count of which is unknown.
Umayyah bin Khalaf's fear of being killed.
Imam al-Bukhari narrated in his Sahih,
On the authority of 'Abdullah bin Mas'ud, may Allah be pleased with him,
Who reported from Sa'd bin Mu'adh, may Allah be pleased with him,
That he said:
"I was a friend of Umayyah bin Khalaf.
Whenever Umayyah passed through Madinah, he would stay with me.
And whenever I passed through Makkah, I would stay with him."
When the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, arrived in
Madinah, I went out to perform 'Umrah,
And I stayed with Umayyah in Makkah.
I said to Umayyah,
"Find me a time when the place is empty so that I may circumambulate the House."
So he went out with me near midday.
Abu Jahl met them,
And said,
"O Abu Safwan, who is this with you?"
He replied,
"This is Sa'd."
Abu Jahl said to him,
"Do I see you circumambulating Makkah in safety,
While you have given shelter to the apostates,
And claimed that you support and aid them?
By Allah, were you not with Abu Safwan,
You would not have returned to your family safely."
Sa'd said to him,
Raising his voice against him,
"By Allah, if you prevent me from this,
I will prevent you from something that is harder for you:
Your route to Madinah."
Umayyah said to him,
"Do not raise your voice, O Sa'd, against Abu al-Hakam,
The master of the valley."
Sa'd replied,
"Leave us be, O Umayyah,
For by Allah, I heard the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, say,
'They will kill you.'"
He asked,
"In Makkah?"
He replied,
"I do not know."
Umayyah was struck with great terror because of this.
When Umayyah returned to his family,
He said, "O Umm Safwan,
Did you not hear what Sa'd said to me?"
She asked,
"What did he say to you?"
He said,
"He claimed that Muhammad told them that they would kill me."
I asked him, "In Makkah?"
He said, "I do not know."
Umayyah then said,
"By Allah, I will not leave Makkah."
When the day of Badr arrived,
Abu Jahl mobilized the people,
Saying,
"Go and save your caravan."
Umayyah disliked going out,
But Abu Jahl came to him
And said,
"O Abu Safwan,
Whenever people see you staying behind,
And you are the master of the valley,
They will stay behind with you."
Abu Jahl did not cease pressuring him,
Until he said,
"Since you have overcome me,
By Allah, I will buy the finest camel in Makkah."
Then Umayyah said,
"O Umm Safwan,
Prepare my provisions."
She said to him,
"O Abu Safwan,
Have you forgotten what your Yathribi brother told you?"
He said, "No,
I only intend to go a short distance with them."
When Umayyah set out,
He would not stop at any place without tethering his camel.
He continued to do so,
Until Allah, the Almighty, caused him to be killed at Badr.
Al-Hafiz said in al-Fath,
"In this hadith are clear miracles of the Prophet, peace be upon him.
It also shows the state of Sa'd bin Mu'adh, may Allah be pleased with him,
Regarding his strength of spirit and certainty.
It also shows that the practice of 'Umrah was ancient,
And that the Companions were permitted to perform 'Umrah
Before the Prophet, peace be upon him, performed it,
Unlike the Hajj."

The longing for you has no fathomable extent.
