greatest of their rabbis, 00:00:59.939 --> 00:01:01.969 known as Ibn al-Hayyaban. 00:01:01.969 --> 00:01:03.969 This Ibn al-Hayyaban 00:01:03.969 --> 00:01:05.969 had arrived among them as an immigrant 00:01:05.969 --> 00:01:07.969 and resolved to take up residence 00:01:07.969 --> 00:01:09.969 with them in Yathrib. 00:01:09.969 --> 00:01:11.969 Zayd ibn Sa'nah was deeply captivated 00:01:11.969 --> 00:01:13.969 by the brilliance of the rabbi's discourse, 00:01:13.969 --> 00:01:15.969 the sincerity of his tone, 00:01:15.969 --> 00:01:17.969 the fervor of his faith, 00:01:17.969 --> 00:01:19.969 and his vast erudition in the Torah. 00:01:19.969 --> 00:01:21.969 Yet, as he was 00:01:21.969 --> 00:01:23.969 listening intently to him, 00:01:23.969 --> 00:01:25.969 he kept asking himself about the reasons 00:01:25.969 --> 00:01:27.969 that had prompted this scholar 00:01:27.969 --> 00:01:29.969 to abandon a land of trellised gardens, 00:01:29.969 --> 00:01:31.969 luxuriant shade, 00:01:31.969 --> 00:01:33.969 and flowing waters, 00:01:33.969 --> 00:01:35.969 driving him to traverse 00:01:35.969 --> 00:01:37.969 such vast distances 00:01:37.969 --> 00:01:39.969 only to spend the remainder of his life 00:01:39.969 --> 00:01:41.969 in Yathrib, 00:01:41.969 --> 00:01:43.969 far removed from his kin and homeland, 00:01:43.969 --> 00:01:46.159 away from his clan and dwelling. 00:01:46.159 --> 00:01:48.159 No sooner had Ibn al-Hayyaban finished 00:01:48.159 --> 00:01:50.159 speaking 00:01:50.159 --> 00:01:52.159 than Zayd ibn Sa'nah took the initiative, 00:01:52.159 --> 00:01:54.159 saying: 00:01:54.159 --> 00:01:56.159 "O venerable rabbi! 00:01:56.159 --> 00:01:58.159 You have indeed arrived in our land most welcome, 00:01:58.159 --> 00:02:00.159 and among us you shall find family. 00:02:00.159 --> 00:02:02.159 But what is it that drove you 00:02:02.159 --> 00:02:04.159 to leave the land of the Levant, 00:02:04.159 --> 00:02:06.159 about which our sacred scriptures 00:02:06.159 --> 00:02:08.159 speak so abundantly, 00:02:08.159 --> 00:02:10.159 praising the mildness of its climate, 00:02:10.159 --> 00:02:12.159 the sweetness of its water, 00:02:12.159 --> 00:02:14.159 the beauty of its meadows, 00:02:14.159 --> 00:02:16.189 and the abundance of its blessings? 00:02:16.189 --> 00:02:18.189 Was someone barring you from your religion, 00:02:18.189 --> 00:02:20.189 or standing between you 00:02:20.189 --> 00:02:22.189 and the observance of your rites?" 00:02:22.189 --> 00:02:24.189 The rabbi replied: 00:02:24.189 --> 00:02:26.189 "By Allah, the land of the Levant is indeed 00:02:26.189 --> 00:02:28.189 just as you have described, 00:02:28.189 --> 00:02:30.189 and far more than you have depicted: 00:02:30.189 --> 00:02:32.189 exquisite water, a mild climate, 00:02:32.189 --> 00:02:34.189 and an abundance of good things; 00:02:34.189 --> 00:02:36.189 nor were we ever unsafe there, 00:02:36.189 --> 00:02:38.219 but rather completely at peace. 00:02:38.219 --> 00:02:40.219 Nothing brought me out of it except 00:02:40.219 --> 00:02:42.219 the anticipation of the advent of a Prophet 00:02:42.219 --> 00:02:44.219 whose era has cast its shadow and whose time is near, 00:02:44.219 --> 00:02:46.219 and this pleasant town of yours 00:02:46.219 --> 00:02:48.219 has been designated as the place of his migration 00:02:48.219 --> 00:02:50.219 and the launching point of his mission." 00:02:50.219 --> 00:02:52.219 Zayd ibn Sa'nah asked: 00:02:52.219 --> 00:02:54.219 "Do you mean that 00:02:54.219 --> 00:02:56.219 Arab Prophet 00:02:56.219 --> 00:02:58.219 whom we find mentioned in our scriptures, 00:02:58.219 --> 00:03:00.219 and with glad tidings of whom we inform our children?" 00:03:00.219 --> 00:03:02.219 He answered, "I mean none other than him." 00:03:02.219 --> 00:03:04.379 Then the rabbi proceeded 00:03:04.379 --> 00:03:06.379 to speak to the people 00:03:06.379 --> 00:03:08.379 about the characteristics of the awaited Prophet, 00:03:08.379 --> 00:03:10.379 describing the signs of prophethood 00:03:10.379 --> 00:03:12.379 with which he would be adorned, 00:03:12.379 --> 00:03:14.379 exhorting the Jews to follow him, 00:03:14.379 --> 00:03:16.379 promising them immense good 00:03:16.379 --> 00:03:18.379 if they believed in him and gave him victory, 00:03:18.379 --> 00:03:20.379 and warning them of evil 00:03:20.379 --> 00:03:22.379 if they turned away from him and betrayed him. 00:03:22.379 --> 00:03:24.509 But Ibn al-Hayyaban 00:03:24.509 --> 00:03:26.509 did not live long thereafter; 00:03:26.509 --> 00:03:28.509 his appointed time soon arrived, 00:03:28.509 --> 00:03:30.509 and he passed away before realizing his dream 00:03:30.509 --> 00:03:32.509 of beholding the awaited Prophet, 00:03:32.509 --> 00:03:34.509 partaking in his mission, 00:03:34.509 --> 00:03:36.509 believing in his prophethood, 00:03:36.509 --> 00:03:38.509 and winning the honor of supporting him. 00:03:38.830 --> 00:03:40.830 Not long 00:03:40.830 --> 00:03:42.830 after the death of Ibn al-Hayyaban, 00:03:42.830 --> 00:03:44.830 reports began 00:03:44.830 --> 00:03:46.830 pouring into Yathrib one after another 00:03:46.830 --> 00:03:48.830 about the emergence of Muhammad ibn 'Abdullah, 00:03:48.830 --> 00:03:50.830 peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, 00:03:50.830 --> 00:03:52.830 and the growing number of his followers 00:03:52.830 --> 00:03:54.830 day after day. 00:03:54.830 --> 00:03:56.830 Thereupon, Zayd ibn Sa'nah rose up 00:03:56.830 --> 00:03:58.830 to remind his Jewish kinsmen 00:03:58.830 --> 00:04:01.120 of all that had been told to them 00:04:01.120 --> 00:04:03.120 by Ibn al-Hayyaban, 00:04:03.120 --> 00:04:05.120 urging them to investigate 00:04:05.120 --> 00:04:07.120 the matter of this Prophet 00:04:07.120 --> 00:04:09.120 whose coming they used to proclaim 00:04:09.120 --> 00:04:11.120 with joyous anticipation, 00:04:11.120 --> 00:04:13.120 and by whom they used to threaten the Arabs 00:04:13.120 --> 00:04:15.120 whenever the Arabs inflicted upon them 00:04:15.120 --> 00:04:17.120 any harm or brought upon them 00:04:17.120 --> 00:04:19.120 any misfortune. 00:04:19.120 --> 00:04:21.120 He tirelessly urged them 00:04:21.120 --> 00:04:23.120 to take the initiative toward him, 00:04:23.120 --> 00:04:25.120 lest anyone precede them 00:04:25.120 --> 00:04:27.120 to this immense good. 00:04:27.120 --> 00:04:29.279 Yet Zayd 00:04:29.279 --> 00:04:31.279 met from his Jewish people 00:04:31.279 --> 00:04:33.279 nothing but aversion and rejection. 00:04:33.279 --> 00:04:35.279 Soon he began to sense the fire 00:04:35.279 --> 00:04:37.279 of malice that began 00:04:37.279 --> 00:04:39.279 eating away at their hearts out of envy 00:04:39.279 --> 00:04:41.279 toward this Prophet, 00:04:41.279 --> 00:04:43.279 whose star was ascending 00:04:43.279 --> 00:04:45.279 and whose call was radiating brilliantly. 00:04:45.279 --> 00:04:47.279 Then the days began 00:04:47.279 --> 00:04:49.279 passing swiftly, 00:04:49.279 --> 00:04:51.279 and events unfolded in rapid succession, 00:04:51.279 --> 00:04:53.279 as caravans of the Emigrant believers 00:04:53.279 --> 00:04:55.279 from Mecca arrived in 00:04:55.279 --> 00:04:57.279 Yathrib with the warmest welcome, 00:04:57.279 --> 00:04:59.279 finding welcoming families in place of their own, 00:04:59.279 --> 00:05:01.279 and true brothers in place of their brethren. 00:05:01.279 --> 00:05:03.310 Suddenly, joyful tidings 00:05:03.310 --> 00:05:05.310 flooded the city 00:05:05.310 --> 00:05:07.310 that the Messenger, peace and blessings of Allah 00:05:07.310 --> 00:05:09.310 be upon him, was approaching it, 00:05:09.310 --> 00:05:11.310 accompanied by his intimate companion 00:05:11.310 --> 00:05:13.310 and close friend, Abu Bakr al-Siddiq. 00:05:13.310 --> 00:05:15.310 Yathrib resounded 00:05:15.310 --> 00:05:17.310 with jubilation and shone with delight, 00:05:17.310 --> 00:05:19.310 and the people poured out 00:05:19.310 --> 00:05:21.310 in large crowds and singly 00:05:21.310 --> 00:05:23.310 to welcome the Prophet of guidance 00:05:23.310 --> 00:05:25.310 and mercy, peace be upon him, 00:05:25.310 --> 00:05:27.310 and his companion. 00:05:27.310 --> 00:05:29.310 At this, the Jews grew deeper in distress upon distress, 00:05:29.310 --> 00:05:31.310 and their chests were filled 00:05:31.310 --> 00:05:33.310 with resentment upon resentment. 00:05:33.310 --> 00:05:35.310 As for Zayd ibn Sa'nah, 00:05:35.310 --> 00:05:37.310 his situation was entirely different. 00:05:37.310 --> 00:05:39.310 Let us leave the floor to him 00:05:39.310 --> 00:05:41.310 so he may recount to us his story 00:05:41.310 --> 00:05:43.310 with the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings 00:05:43.310 --> 00:05:45.410 of Allah be upon him. 00:05:45.410 --> 00:05:47.410 Zayd ibn Sa'nah said: 00:05:47.410 --> 00:05:49.410 "I scrutinized this newcomer, 00:05:49.410 --> 00:05:51.410 Muhammad ibn 'Abdullah, 00:05:51.410 --> 00:05:53.410 with the closest, most thorough examination, 00:05:53.410 --> 00:05:55.410 and observed him 00:05:55.410 --> 00:05:57.410 with the most meticulous and comprehensive tracking. 00:05:57.410 --> 00:05:59.410 Not a single sign 00:05:59.410 --> 00:06:01.410 among the signs of prophethood remained 00:06:01.410 --> 00:06:03.410 but that I recognized it in him 00:06:03.410 --> 00:06:05.410 and discerned it in his noble countenance, 00:06:05.410 --> 00:06:07.410 peace be upon him, 00:06:07.410 --> 00:06:09.410 after investigating him closely 00:06:09.410 --> 00:06:11.410 and gazing at him at length— 00:06:11.410 --> 00:06:13.410 except for two traits that I had not yet verified 00:06:13.410 --> 00:06:15.410 in him: 00:06:15.410 --> 00:06:17.410 the first was 00:06:17.410 --> 00:06:19.410 that his forbearance precedes his anger, 00:06:19.410 --> 00:06:21.410 and the second was 00:06:21.410 --> 00:06:23.410 that extreme insolence shown toward him 00:06:23.410 --> 00:06:25.410 only increases him 00:06:25.410 --> 00:06:27.500 in graciousness and mildness. 00:06:27.500 --> 00:06:29.500 So I sought to test these two 00:06:29.500 --> 00:06:31.500 characteristics until I could verify them in him. 00:06:31.500 --> 00:06:33.500 That came to pass when the Messenger of Allah, 00:06:33.500 --> 00:06:35.500 peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, 00:06:35.500 --> 00:06:37.500 came out one day 00:06:37.500 --> 00:06:39.500 from his apartments, 00:06:39.500 --> 00:06:41.500 accompanied by 'Ali ibn Abi Talib, 00:06:41.500 --> 00:06:43.500 may Allah be pleased with him. 00:06:43.500 --> 00:06:45.500 A man mounted upon his camel stopped 00:06:45.500 --> 00:06:47.500 beside him, 00:06:47.500 --> 00:06:49.500 saying: 00:06:49.500 --> 00:06:51.500 'O Messenger of Allah! 00:06:51.500 --> 00:06:53.500 Indeed, a clan of mine in the village of Banu So-and-so 00:06:53.500 --> 00:06:55.500 have embraced Islam, 00:06:55.500 --> 00:06:57.500 and I had told them 00:06:57.500 --> 00:06:59.500 that if they entered Islam, Allah would shower 00:06:59.500 --> 00:07:01.500 His bounties upon them 00:07:01.500 --> 00:07:03.500 and grant them abundant provision. 00:07:03.500 --> 00:07:05.500 Yet no sooner had they done so than they were struck 00:07:05.500 --> 00:07:07.500 by a severe, devastating drought 00:07:07.500 --> 00:07:09.500 and an exhausting withholding of rain. 00:07:09.500 --> 00:07:11.500 And I fear, O Messenger of Allah, 00:07:11.500 --> 00:07:13.500 lest they leave Islam 00:07:13.500 --> 00:07:15.500 seeking worldly gain elsewhere, 00:07:15.500 --> 00:07:17.500 just as they entered it desiring it. 00:07:17.500 --> 00:07:19.629 So if you deem it appropriate to send 00:07:19.629 --> 00:07:21.629 something to relieve them, 00:07:21.629 --> 00:07:23.660 please do so." 00:07:23.660 --> 00:07:25.660 Thereupon, the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, glanced 00:07:25.660 --> 00:07:27.660 at 'Ali Ibn Abi Talib, 00:07:27.660 --> 00:07:29.660 an inquiring look asking him 00:07:29.660 --> 00:07:31.660 about what funds he had available. 00:07:31.660 --> 00:07:33.660 'Ali replied, 00:07:33.660 --> 00:07:35.660 "Nothing remains with me of what came to us, 00:07:35.660 --> 00:07:37.730 O Messenger of Allah." 00:07:37.730 --> 00:07:39.730 Zayd Ibn Sa'nah recounted: 00:07:39.730 --> 00:07:41.730 "I seized this opportunity, 00:07:41.730 --> 00:07:43.730 stepped forward to the Messenger of Allah, 00:07:43.730 --> 00:07:45.730 peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, 00:07:45.730 --> 00:07:47.730 and said, 'O Muhammad! 00:07:47.730 --> 00:07:49.730 Would you sell me 00:07:49.730 --> 00:07:51.730 a specified amount of dates to be delivered at a fixed, 00:07:51.730 --> 00:07:53.730 agreed-upon future date, for such-and-such 00:07:53.730 --> 00:07:55.730 an amount of money?' He replied, 'Yes.' 00:07:55.730 --> 00:07:57.730 So I untied my purse 00:07:57.730 --> 00:07:59.730 and took out eighty 00:07:59.730 --> 00:08:01.730 mithqals of gold, 00:08:01.730 --> 00:08:03.730 handing them over to the Messenger of Allah, 00:08:03.730 --> 00:08:05.730 peace and blessings of Allah be upon him. 00:08:05.730 --> 00:08:07.730 He then gave the money to the man, 00:08:07.730 --> 00:08:09.730 saying, 'Go and relieve your people 00:08:09.730 --> 00:08:11.730 with this money, and distribute it justly among them.'" 00:08:11.730 --> 00:08:13.819 Zayd Ibn Sa'nah continued: 00:08:13.819 --> 00:08:15.819 "When there remained 00:08:15.819 --> 00:08:17.819 a day, 00:08:17.819 --> 00:08:19.819 or two or three days before the term expired, 00:08:19.819 --> 00:08:21.819 I saw the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, 00:08:21.819 --> 00:08:23.819 accompanied by 00:08:23.819 --> 00:08:25.819 Abu Bakr, 'Umar, and a small group 00:08:25.819 --> 00:08:27.819 of his Companions, 00:08:27.819 --> 00:08:29.819 having gone out to perform the funeral prayer over 00:08:29.819 --> 00:08:31.860 one of the Muslims. 00:08:31.860 --> 00:08:33.860 When they finished their prayer, 00:08:33.860 --> 00:08:35.860 the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, drew near 00:08:35.860 --> 00:08:37.860 a wall to sit beside it. 00:08:37.860 --> 00:08:39.860 I came up to him, grabbed him 00:08:39.860 --> 00:08:41.860 by the collar of his shirt and cloak, 00:08:41.860 --> 00:08:43.860 looked at him 00:08:43.860 --> 00:08:45.860 with a harsh, menacing glare, 00:08:45.860 --> 00:08:47.860 and said to him, 'O Muhammad! 00:08:47.860 --> 00:08:49.860 Will you not pay me my due? 00:08:49.860 --> 00:08:51.860 By Allah, I have never known you, 00:08:51.860 --> 00:08:53.860 O clan of 'Abd al-Muttalib, 00:08:53.860 --> 00:08:55.860 to be anything but procrastinators when it comes to repaying debts! 00:08:55.860 --> 00:08:57.860 And indeed, I know 00:08:57.860 --> 00:08:59.860 your ill nature better than anyone!' 00:08:59.860 --> 00:09:01.860 Then I glanced at those around him, 00:09:01.860 --> 00:09:03.860 and saw 'Umar's eyes 00:09:03.860 --> 00:09:05.860 rolling furiously in his face 00:09:05.860 --> 00:09:07.860 like rotating celestial spheres. 00:09:07.860 --> 00:09:09.860 He glared fiercely at me, 00:09:09.860 --> 00:09:11.860 and said, 00:09:11.860 --> 00:09:13.860 'Do you dare speak to the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, 00:09:13.860 --> 00:09:15.860 in the manner I hear, 00:09:15.860 --> 00:09:17.860 and treat him as I see? 00:09:17.860 --> 00:09:19.860 By the One in Whose hand is my soul, 00:09:19.860 --> 00:09:21.860 were it not for my fear of 00:09:21.860 --> 00:09:23.860 depriving you of the chance to embrace faith, 00:09:23.860 --> 00:09:25.860 I would have struck off your head with my sword!' 00:09:25.860 --> 00:09:28.019 As for the greatest Messenger, 00:09:28.019 --> 00:09:30.019 peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, 00:09:30.019 --> 00:09:32.019 he looked at me 00:09:32.019 --> 00:09:34.019 with utmost calm and composure. 00:09:34.019 --> 00:09:36.019 Then he turned to 'Umar and said, 00:09:36.019 --> 00:09:38.019 'O 'Umar, 00:09:38.019 --> 00:09:40.019 he and I 00:09:40.019 --> 00:09:42.019 were in greater need of something else from you: 00:09:42.019 --> 00:09:44.019 you should have 00:09:44.019 --> 00:09:46.019 urged me to repay handsomely, 00:09:46.019 --> 00:09:48.019 and urged him to demand courteously. 00:09:48.019 --> 00:09:50.019 Then he said to him, 00:09:50.019 --> 00:09:52.019 'Take him with you, O 'Umar, 00:09:52.019 --> 00:09:54.019 give him his full due, 00:09:54.019 --> 00:09:56.019 and grant him twenty additional sa's of 00:09:56.019 --> 00:09:58.019 dates for having frightened him.' 00:09:58.019 --> 00:10:00.019 'Umar's anger subsided, 00:10:00.019 --> 00:10:02.019 so he took me with him, 00:10:02.019 --> 00:10:04.019 gave me my full due, 00:10:04.019 --> 00:10:06.019 and added twenty sa's of 00:10:06.019 --> 00:10:08.019 dates. I asked, 00:10:08.019 --> 00:10:10.019 'What right do I have to this 00:10:10.019 --> 00:10:12.049 extra amount, O 'Umar?' 00:10:12.049 --> 00:10:14.049 He replied, 'The Messenger of Allah, 00:10:14.049 --> 00:10:16.049 peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, ordered me 00:10:16.049 --> 00:10:18.049 to give it to you because 00:10:18.049 --> 00:10:20.049 I frightened you, so take it.' 00:10:20.049 --> 00:10:22.049 I asked, 'Do you know who I am, 00:10:22.049 --> 00:10:24.049 O 'Umar?' He replied, 00:10:24.049 --> 00:10:26.049 'No.' I said, 00:10:26.049 --> 00:10:28.049 'I am Zayd Ibn Sa'nah.' 00:10:28.049 --> 00:10:30.049 He asked, 00:10:30.049 --> 00:10:32.049 'The Jewish scholar?' I replied, 'Yes.' 00:10:32.049 --> 00:10:34.049 He said, 00:10:34.049 --> 00:10:36.049 'Then what drove you to do 00:10:36.049 --> 00:10:38.049 to the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, 00:10:38.049 --> 00:10:40.049 what you did, 00:10:40.049 --> 00:10:42.049 and to say to him what you said?' 00:10:42.049 --> 00:10:44.049 I said, 'O 'Umar, 00:10:44.049 --> 00:10:46.049 there was not a single sign of prophethood 00:10:46.049 --> 00:10:48.049 except that I recognized it 00:10:48.049 --> 00:10:50.049 upon the face of the Messenger, peace be upon him, 00:10:50.049 --> 00:10:52.049 when I looked at him, 00:10:52.049 --> 00:10:54.049 save for two signs 00:10:54.049 --> 00:10:56.049 which I had not yet tested in him: 00:10:56.049 --> 00:10:58.049 that his forbearance precedes his anger, 00:10:58.049 --> 00:11:00.049 and the second, 00:11:00.049 --> 00:11:02.049 that intense provocation 00:11:02.049 --> 00:11:04.049 and foolish treatment 00:11:04.049 --> 00:11:06.049 only increase him in forbearance. 00:11:06.049 --> 00:11:08.049 Now I have verified both of them! 00:11:08.049 --> 00:11:10.049 So I call you to witness, O 'Umar, 00:11:10.049 --> 00:11:12.049 that I am well pleased with Allah as my Lord, 00:11:12.049 --> 00:11:14.049 with Islam as my religion, 00:11:14.049 --> 00:11:16.049 and with Muhammad, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, 00:11:16.049 --> 00:11:18.049 as my Prophet. 00:11:18.049 --> 00:11:20.049 And half of my wealth 00:11:20.049 --> 00:11:22.049 is given in charity to the Ummah of Muhammad, 00:11:22.049 --> 00:11:24.049 peace and blessings of Allah be upon him.' 00:11:24.049 --> 00:11:26.049 'Umar remarked, 00:11:26.049 --> 00:11:28.049 'Rather say: to some of them, 00:11:28.049 --> 00:11:30.049 for your wealth cannot encompass them all.' 00:11:30.049 --> 00:11:32.080 I said, 'To some of them.' 00:11:32.080 --> 00:11:34.110 Then 'Umar 00:11:34.110 --> 00:11:36.110 Ibn al-Khattab and Zayd Ibn Sa'nah returned 00:11:36.110 --> 00:11:38.110 to the Messenger, peace and blessings 00:11:38.110 --> 00:11:40.110 of Allah be upon him. 00:11:40.110 --> 00:11:42.110 The Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, asked, 00:11:42.110 --> 00:11:44.110 'What brings you both back?' 00:11:44.110 --> 00:11:46.110 Zayd replied, 00:11:46.110 --> 00:11:48.110 'I have returned to testify 00:11:48.110 --> 00:11:50.110 that there is no deity worthy of worship except Allah, 00:11:50.110 --> 00:11:52.110 alone without partner, 00:11:52.110 --> 00:11:54.110 and to testify that you are His servant 00:11:54.110 --> 00:11:56.110 and His Messenger, 00:11:56.110 --> 00:11:58.110 the elite of His prophets, 00:11:58.110 --> 00:12:03.629 and the seal of His messengers.'" 00:12:03.629 --> 00:12:05.629 Ibn Sa'nah embraced Islam 00:12:05.629 --> 00:12:07.659 after deep reflection 00:12:07.659 --> 00:12:09.659 and careful examination 00:12:09.659 --> 00:12:11.659 of the accounts of the noble Messenger, 00:12:11.659 --> 00:12:13.659 peace and blessings of Allah be upon him. 00:12:13.659 --> 00:12:16.110 Through Muhammad 00:12:16.110 --> 00:12:18.110 and his Companions, 00:12:18.110 --> 00:12:20.110 the exalted edifice was firmly established; 00:12:20.110 --> 00:12:22.340 so let the poetic verses overflow 00:12:22.340 --> 00:12:24.340 in praise of them, 00:12:24.340 --> 00:12:26.340 in praise of them.
