The Garden of Guidance
Allah, the Almighty and Majestic, says:
“The devil promiseth you destitution and enjoineth on you lewdness. But Allah promiseth you forgiveness from Himself with bounty. Allah is All-Embracing, All-knowing.” (2:268)

And Allah is All-Encompassing, All-Knowing.
On the authority of Sa'id al-Ta'i, Abu al-Bakhtari,
who said:
Abu Kabshah al-Anmari, may Allah be pleased with him, narrated to me
that he heard the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, say:
"There are three things I swear to be true,
and I shall tell you a hadith, so commit it to memory:
He said:
'A servant's wealth will never decrease by giving charity,
nor does a servant suffer an injustice and bear it with patience,
but that Allah will increase him in honor,
and no servant opens for himself a door of begging,
but that Allah will open for him a door of poverty.'"
Narrated by al-Tirmidhi.
A benefit:
This is a promise from Allah of increase,
and a warning from the Shaytan of poverty.
So choose your path for yourself.
On the authority of Abu Mas'ud, may Allah be pleased with him, who said:
The Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him,
used to command us to give charity,
yet one of us would find nothing to give,
so he would go to the marketplace,
carry goods on his back,
and return with a mudd (a measure of grain),
which he would then give to the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him.
Today, I know a man
who possesses one hundred thousand,
yet back then, he did not have a single dirham.
