00:00:00.000 --> 00:00:05.200
Forty hadiths on the virtue of charity.

00:00:05.200 --> 00:00:10.029
On the authority of Abu Umamah, may Allah be pleased with him, who said:

00:00:10.029 --> 00:00:13.830
The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said:

00:00:13.830 --> 00:00:17.829
"Acts of kindness protect against evil outcomes."

00:00:17.829 --> 00:00:21.829
"And secret charity extinguishes the anger of the Lord."

00:00:21.829 --> 00:00:24.829
"And maintaining ties of kinship increases one's lifespan."

00:00:24.829 --> 00:00:28.859
Recorded by al-Tabarani and classified as hasan by al-Albani.

00:00:28.859 --> 00:00:33.140
Ibn al-Qayyim, may Allah have mercy on him, said:

00:00:33.140 --> 00:00:36.140
This is something known to people,

00:00:36.140 --> 00:00:39.140
Both the elite and the common folk among them.

00:00:39.140 --> 00:00:42.140
All the people of the earth acknowledge it,

00:00:42.140 --> 00:00:44.140
Because they have experienced it.

00:00:44.140 --> 00:00:48.140
Even if this charity comes from an oppressor or a disbeliever,

00:00:48.140 --> 00:00:51.140
Allah wards off through it

00:00:51.140 --> 00:00:54.140
Many evils and calamities.
