There is neither humiliation nor disgrace in being humble toward the believers.
Rather, it is the brotherhood of Islam that breaks down barriers and removes formality.
It makes the believer humble—not humiliated—toward his believing brother, and compliant rather than defiant.
He is gentle, soft-natured, accommodating, responsive, easygoing, and affectionate.
This is the humility toward the believers that Allah the Exalted has encouraged.
"Allah will bring forth a people whom He loves and who love Him."
“O ye who believe! Whoso of you becometh a renegade from his religion, (know that in his stead) Allah will bring a people whom He loveth and who love Him, humble toward believers, stern toward disbelievers, striving in the way of Allah, and fearing not the blame of any blamer. Such is the grace of Allah which He giveth unto whom He will. Allah is All-Embracing, All-Knowing.” (5:54)
And the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said:
"The Fire is forbidden to every person who is gentle, soft-natured, approachable, and easygoing."
