In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah.
A Concise Summary of the Prophetic biography.
His departure, peace be upon him, for the trade of Khadijah, may Allah be pleased with her.
And his marriage to her.
When the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, reached twenty-five years of his blessed life,
He departed for the Levant on a trading mission for Khadijah bint Khuwaylid, may Allah be pleased with her,
Accompanied by her servant, Maysarah.
Maysarah witnessed the extraordinary nature of his character, peace be upon him, which left him in awe.
Upon his return, he informed his mistress, Khadijah, may Allah be pleased with her, of what he had seen.
Consequently, she desired to marry him, peace be upon him.
She did so in the hope of the goodness that Allah had gathered for her in that union,
Which was beyond what any human could imagine.
The Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, married her,
While he was twenty-five years of age.
There is a difference of opinion regarding the age of Khadijah, may Allah be pleased with her,
At the time the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, married her.
It has been said she was forty, others say twenty-eight, and other opinions exist as well.
The truth is that nothing is authentically established regarding her age, may Allah be pleased with her,
When the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, married her.
She was the first woman the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, married,
And the first of his wives to pass away.
He did not marry anyone else while she was alive.
He was blessed with all his children, sons and daughters, through her, except for Ibrahim.
Ibrahim was born to him from Mariyah the Copt.
