My reward is the affair of Allah only. (He is) the Knower of Things Hidden.” (34:48) 00:02:24.199 --> 00:02:27.199 Say, O Muhammad, to the polytheists of your people: 00:02:27.199 --> 00:02:30.199 "My Lord sends down revelation from the heaven, 00:02:30.199 --> 00:02:35.199 And casts it upon His Prophet, Muhammad, peace be upon him." 00:02:35.199 --> 00:02:38.199 He knows what is hidden from sight. 00:02:38.199 --> 00:02:46.840 “Say: The Truth hath come, and falsehood showeth not its face and will not return.” (34:49) 00:02:46.840 --> 00:02:52.449 Say to them, O Muhammad: "The Qur'an and the revelation of Allah have come." 00:02:52.449 --> 00:02:55.449 And falsehood cannot originate any creation, 00:02:55.449 --> 00:02:57.449 For falsehood is Iblis, 00:02:57.449 --> 00:03:01.449 Nor can it restore it to life after its destruction. 00:03:01.449 --> 00:03:08.090 “Say: If I err, I err only to my own loss, and if I am rightly guided it is because of that which my Lord hath revealed unto me. He is Hearer, Nigh.” (34:50) 00:03:13.090 --> 00:03:18.090 Indeed, He is All-Hearing, Ever-Near. 00:03:18.090 --> 00:03:20.919 Say, O Muhammad, to your people: 00:03:20.919 --> 00:03:22.919 "If I go astray from guidance, 00:03:22.919 --> 00:03:25.919 Then my straying is only to the detriment of my own soul." 00:03:25.919 --> 00:03:27.919 "And if I remain steadfast upon the truth, 00:03:27.919 --> 00:03:31.919 It is by the revelation of Allah which He reveals to me." 00:03:31.919 --> 00:03:35.919 Indeed, my Lord is All-Hearing of what I say to you and is its Guardian. 00:03:35.919 --> 00:03:39.919 And He is the One who will reward me for my truthfulness in that. 00:03:39.919 --> 00:03:42.919 And that is not far from Him. 00:03:42.919 --> 00:03:46.919 It is not difficult for Him to hear what I say to you, what you say, 00:03:46.919 --> 00:03:49.919 Or what others say. 00:03:49.919 --> 00:03:55.919 Rather, He is near to every speaker, hearing everything that is uttered. 00:04:04.909 --> 00:04:09.740 If you could but see, O Muhammad, these polytheists of your people, 00:04:09.740 --> 00:04:14.740 When you witness them in their terror upon seeing the punishment of Allah, 00:04:14.740 --> 00:04:18.740 There will be no way for them to escape by themselves, 00:04:18.740 --> 00:04:20.740 Nor will they be able to elude Us by fleeing. 00:04:20.740 --> 00:04:24.740 Allah will seize them with His punishment from a place that is near, 00:04:24.740 --> 00:04:29.740 Because wherever they are, they are near to Allah and cannot be far from Him. 00:04:42.480 --> 00:04:46.149 And they will say when they witness the punishment: 00:04:46.149 --> 00:04:48.149 "We believe in Allah." 00:04:48.149 --> 00:04:51.149 But how can they attain it? 00:04:51.149 --> 00:04:55.149 Where is the opportunity for repentance and return, now that it has become distant from them? 00:04:55.149 --> 00:05:00.149 They have become like one trying to reach something from a far-off place. 00:05:00.149 --> 00:05:03.149 This is because they will say that on the Day of Resurrection, 00:05:03.149 --> 00:05:07.149 Whereas accepted repentance was only possible in the worldly life. 00:05:07.149 --> 00:05:12.149 The worldly life has passed, and it has become distant from the Hereafter. 00:05:19.180 --> 00:05:26.750 They had previously disbelieved in what they are now asking their Lord for when the punishment descends upon them. 00:05:26.750 --> 00:05:30.750 That is faith in Allah and in Muhammad. 00:05:30.750 --> 00:05:35.750 Today, they cast stones at the unseen regarding Muhammad from a distant place, 00:05:35.750 --> 00:05:38.750 Some saying he is a sorcerer, 00:05:38.750 --> 00:05:42.750 Others saying he is a poet, and so on. 00:05:50.300 --> 00:05:55.300 Just as was done with their predecessors. 00:05:55.300 --> 00:06:02.300 “And a gulf is set between them and that which they desire, as was done for people of their kind of old. Lo! they were in hopeless doubt.” (34:54) 00:06:02.300 --> 00:06:10.129 A barrier will be placed between these polytheists and what they desire at that time of faith. 00:06:10.129 --> 00:06:13.129 We have done to these polytheists 00:06:13.129 --> 00:06:19.129 Just as We did to their predecessors among the disbelieving nations before them, due to their disbelief in Allah. 00:06:19.129 --> 00:06:24.129 They were, in the worldly life, in doubt regarding the descent of the punishment, 00:06:24.129 --> 00:06:29.129 A doubt that causes the one who holds it to be in a state of confusion.
