Protecting Abu Talib, his brother’s son, may God bless him and grant him peace
Ibn Ishaq said
When the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, came to convert his people to Islam
And he cracked it as God commanded him
His people did not turn away from him, nor did they respond to him
He even mentioned their gods and criticized them
When he did that, they glorified him and hated him
And they gathered his disagreement and hostility
Except for those whom God Almighty protects through Islam
They are few and hidden
And his uncle Abu Talib mourned the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace
He prevented him and stood up for him
The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, proceeded with God’s command
A manifestation of his command that nothing can turn him away from
Al-Hafiz Ibn Kathir said
May God protect His Messenger, may God bless him and grant him peace, and protect him through his uncle Abu Talib
Because he was honorable, obedient to them, and noble among them
They do not dare to surprise him with anything regarding the matter of Muhammad, may God bless him and grant him peace
When they know of his love for him
It was God's wisdom to keep them in their religion
Because it is in the interest
This was the position of Abu Lahab and his wife Umm Jamil Arwa bint Harb
