Allah the Almighty says:
“And those who give that which they give with hearts afraid because they are about to return unto their Lord,” (23:60)
“These race for the good things, and they shall win them in the race.” (23:61)
The Mother of the Believers, 'A'ishah, may Allah be pleased with her, asked
the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, about this noble verse:
She said,
"O Messenger of Allah,
'They give what they give while their hearts are fearful'—
is this the person who steals, commits adultery, and drinks wine,
yet still fears Allah, the Almighty and Majestic?"
He, peace be upon him, replied,
"No, O daughter of al-Siddiq,
rather, they are those who pray, fast, and give charity,
yet fear that it will not be accepted from them."
“These race for the good things, and they shall win them in the race.” (23:61)
