It is a mistake to believe that piety is only a matter of abandonment
But it is also a matter of action
Performing duties is considered piety
Because failure to perform it will cause harm in the afterlife
It is piety to maintain ties with one’s relatives
Enjoining good and forbidding evil
And fulfilling the rights of the poor, the neighbor, and all Muslims
