May God protect him, the veil of knowledge
Mujahid Ibn Jabr Al-Makki, may God Almighty have mercy on him, said
He died in the year one hundred and four AH
Neither the shy nor the arrogant learns knowledge
Knowledge is like sociable gardens
But some of us may withdraw from these gardens out of modesty or arrogance
So he abandons knowledge and gets busy with his life
His reprehensible modesty prevents him from receiving knowledge
He felt disgusted with his mortals so that he would not criticize or ridicule his question
Or show some of his ignorance
Or it is said that I was not like this and I would not have changed
Or left our councils
He is still afraid of criticizing others until he abandons knowledge
He abandons his gardens and joys
He is deprived of rich goods and dazzling precious things
The other type is arrogant
His arrogance prevents him from being humble and present to people
If ignorance or need appears from him, it indicates his deficiency
This leads to abandoning science and abandoning understanding
And listening to Satan and his steps
He spent a long time and did not learn anything of the fundamentals of his religion
He is content with public myths
Therefore, you notice mistakes in both types of purity and prayer
And the etiquette of Islam
Even in reading the Qur’an
It will be revealed if he comes to pray in a group
The Qur’an rings were at his house
She calls him for a long time, but he does not answer her
And his enthusiasm does not rise up for her
It is a legal and rational duty
Abandon shyness and arrogance
And courageously seek knowledge and seek it
And strive to collect it and purify oneself
