I am one of the Meccan companions, the first immigrants to Medina, and the first ambassador in Islam
I was the adornment of the youth of Quraish. I was the spoiled girl of Mecca and the best of its honorable boys
My mother, Khanas bint Malik, was one of the wealthiest people in Mecca
You dress me in the best clothes and bring me the most beautiful perfumes
I was the most fragrant and beautiful of the people of Mecca
When I heard about Islam, I quickly embraced it
The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, was in Dar Al-Arqam
I concealed my Islam for fear of my mother, who had a uniquely strong personality
And severe hostility towards Muslims
When she learned of my conversion to Islam, she imprisoned me and wanted to turn me away from my religion
But I remained steadfast in the faith
She decided to expel me from her house and deprive me of my money
She told me to go about your business, I am no longer your slave
So I said to her, O nation, I am your advisor and I feel sorry for you
So bear witness that there is no god but God and that Muhammad is His servant and Messenger
She answered me angrily, swearing with pity
I deviate from your religion, and my opinion will be discredited and my mind will weaken
My mother withheld from me everything she used to give me and imposed authority over the men of our people
I was afflicted with torture and calamity that changed my color and exhausted my body
Even my skin was falling off like the skin of a snake
I was falling on the ground from extreme hunger and unable to walk
So my companions carry me on their shoulders
One day the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, looked at me while I was kissing and wearing a ram’s skin
He, may God bless him and grant him peace, said
Look at this man whose heart God has enlightened
I saw him between two parents who fed him the best food and drink
So the love of God and His Messenger called him to what you see
She migrated with the first oppressed people to Abyssinia
My companion on the trip was Amer bin Rabia, may God be pleased with him
He describes me by saying:
He was my friend from the day he converted to Islam until he was killed in Uhud
He went out with us to the land of Abyssinia
My companion was among the people
I have never seen a man who was better behaved or less disagreeable than him
I saw him with his feet dripping with blood from the hardship of the journey
Where he was thin-skinned
He was not accustomed to the harshness of life like the rest of his companions on the migration journey
Then she immigrated to the city
Where the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, assigned me to it
I will teach people the Qur’an and understand the religion
I was the first to immigrate there
The first people to pray Friday prayers there
I used to teach them the Qur’an
Until they started calling me the reciter
She was attracted by her gentle manner and beauty
They created many of the people of the city
A large number of its people converted to Islam at my hands
Until the mention of Islam became widespread in the city
There was no Ansar house left
Unless it contains a mention of Islam
The city became prepared to receive the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace
I participated with the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace
During the two battles of Badr and Uhud
I was the standard bearer in both of them
In Uhud, Ibn Qam’ah al-Laythi saw me
He thought that I was the Messenger of God
This is due to his strong resemblance to the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace
He attacked me while I was carrying the banner
He struck his right arm and cut it off
So she recited the words of God Almighty
Muhammad is nothing but a messenger, and the messengers have left his grave
Then she took the banner in Al-Yusra's hand
The infidel hit her and cut her off
So I leaned towards the banner and hugged it with my shoulder to my chest as I said:
Muhammad is nothing but a messenger, and the messengers have left his grave
Then Ali attacked the third with a spear
I implement it in my body
I fell to the ground as a martyr and the banner fell
And when they wanted to bury me
They found nothing to cover me in my grave except my cloak
If they cover my head with it, my legs will appear
If they cover my legs with it, it will show my head
He, may God bless him and grant him peace, said
They covered his head with it and placed on his feet of Ithkhar trees
