The nuclear forty On the authority of Ibn Abbas, may God be pleased with them both On the authority of the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace What he narrates about his Lord, Blessed and Most High He said that God Almighty has written good deeds and bad deeds Then between that Whoever intends to do a good deed does not do it God wrote it down to him as a perfect good deed If they intend to do it, then do it God wrote him down as ten good deeds Up to seven hundred times Many times more And if they intended evil deeds, they did not do them God wrote it down to him as a perfect good deed If they intend to do it, then do it God wrote them down as single bad deeds Narrated by Al-Bukhari and Muslim This hadith shows God's mercy and justice God has written good deeds and bad deeds He stated that a good deed is multiplied tenfold or more While the bad deed is written with its like or forgiven with repentance It also explains that simply intending good deeds will reward its owner And leaving bad deeds for God records good deeds for him The hadith raises the Muslim to be optimistic about the breadth of God’s mercy Increase good intentions and hasten to repent and abandon sins Because God is generous, the work of a worker is not wasted
