I am a female companion of Quraysh
I converted to Islam in Mecca before the Hijra
She immigrated to the city
I was one of the wisest and virtuous women
The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, was visiting us
And it is said with us
I had assigned him a loincloth for this purpose
I kept this garment and the bedding
On which the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, used to sleep
I was one of the few who knew how to read and write in pre-Islamic times
And yet I was a doctor and a classy person
So the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, gave me a house in Medina
This house will become a scientific center for women
Muslim women were taught reading, writing, medicine, and ruqyah
Thus, I will be the first teacher in Islam
He was among my students
Hafsa bint Omar
The wife of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace
I used to go out with the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, on his raids
So I heal the wound
The Companions used to come to my house for medical treatment
One day, a man from the Ansar came out with an illness called An-Namla
These are sores that emerge on both sides
It is called this because the patient feels the pain at the site of the sores
It was as if an ant was walking on it and biting it
They showed him to me
He came to me and asked me to perform ruqyah
So I told him
By God, I have not promoted anyone since I converted to Islam
So the man went to the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace
So tell him what you said
So the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, called me
And he said
So I showed it to him
And he said
I also taught her to write
Omar, may God be pleased with him, gave me precedence in opinion
He takes care of me and prefers me over other women
And since then
I came to him one day
I found Atika bint Usayd at his door
So we entered it together
We talked with him for an hour
So he called Pattern
So he gave it to me
He called in a different style
So he gave him Atika
Atika said
May your hands be blessed, Omar
I accepted Islam
And I am your cousin without her
And sent to me
She came to you by herself
Then you give her better than you gave me
He said to her
I would not have raised that except for you
When you met
She mentioned that she is closer to the Messenger of God
May God bless him and grant him peace
I presented it to you
Omar bin Al-Khattab, may God be pleased with him, arrived one day
Fajr prayer
Then he passed by me and said
O mother of Suleiman
I did not see Suleiman in the morning prayer
So I told him
He started praying
His eyes defeated him
Omar said
Because I witness the morning prayer in congregation
I love to stay up all night
One day I saw two boys going for a walk
And they speak slowly
So I said what is this?
They said we forget you
So I told them
By God, if Omar spoke, I would listen
If he walks faster
If he hits, it hurts
By God, he is truly a hermit
