The oppressor and the oppressed.
Since the oppression of one’s own soul encompasses the other two types—namely, polytheism and the oppression of others—
it is valid, in this regard, to say that every oppressor is, at the same time, an oppressed person.
This is because he is oppressing his own soul in any case; thus, he is both an oppressor and the oppressed simultaneously.
And that is sufficient as a source of disappointment and loss.
Whoever is an oppressor to his own soul is even more oppressive toward others.
Therefore, he is incapable of acting with justice toward anyone else.
