Assad Kufi
Sire of Bani Asad
Sheikh of Al-Iqra in Kufa
No date of birth was mentioned
Perhaps it was around the middle of the first century AH
He received the reading from Abu Abd al-Rahman al-Sulami
Wazir bin Hubaish
And Abu Omar Al-Shaibani
These three read to Abdullah bin Masoud
Both Abu Abd al-Rahman al-Sulami and Zirr recited
Ali Othman bin Affan
And Ali bin Abi Talib

After Abu Abdul Rahman Al-Sulami

He combined eloquence, mastery, editing, and intonation
He was the best person in reciting the Qur’an
When he prayed, he would stand upright like a stick
He used to stay in the mosque on Fridays until afternoon
He was a good worshiper and always prayed
Maybe something came up
If he sees a mosque, he says:
Take care of us, for our need will not be missed
Then he enters and prays
Abu Ishaq Al-Subaie said
I have not seen anyone read more than Asim bin Abi Al-Najood
Abdullah bin Hanbal said
I asked my father about Asim and he said
A good, trustworthy man
Ibn al-Jazari said
And the trustworthy Abu Zar’ah and his group
Abu Hatim said his place is honesty
His hadith is mentioned in the six books
He read to him a lot
Among them is Hafs bin Suleiman
And Abu Bakr Shu'bah bin Ayyash
They are the most famous narrators about him
And Hammad bin Salamah
Suleiman bin Mahran Al-Amash and others
Abu Bakr Shu`bah bin Ayyash said
I entered Asim and he was dying
So he started repeating this verse
He achieves it even as if he is in prayer
Then they were returned to God, their True Master
He died, may God have mercy on him, at the end of the year 1027 AH in Kufa

Nor to their parents
The word has grown

They say nothing but lies
Perhaps you are shameful
Your soul is on their tracks
