The Islamic concept of civilization
It is the concept of worship, which is the goal of human existence
As God Almighty defined it by saying:
I did not create the jinn and mankind except to worship
That is, civilization or urbanization is a method of guidance
It regulates a person’s relationship with his social and environmental surroundings
The absence of this divine approach
It means permissibility and moral degradation
And social decay
Underdevelopment in its comprehensive sense
Which ends with its people in destruction and misery
And animal barbarism
Worship in its comprehensive sense is the goal
It is the standard by which civilization and progress are measured
Up or down
Straightness or deviation
True civilization has a divine source
Therefore, it came and was achieved over a period of time
It is characterized by the characteristics of comprehensiveness and stability
Justice and balance
Positive and realistic
There is no contradiction in it
Achieving goodness, happiness and righteousness for humanity
Who, if We establish them on earth
They established prayer and paid zakat
They enjoined what is right and forbade what is wrong
And to God is the outcome of matters
That is, it is a civilization that built the earth
By God's covenant and covenant
It is the worship of God alone, without partners
And ruling according to His law
Thus, the country and the people were reformed
It advanced industrially and socially
Economically and agriculturally without corruption
And do not cause corruption in the land after it has been restored
When these concepts and values prevail in society
Then he will be civilized and advanced
And on the contrary
When it prevails in society
Society values and utilitarian animal tendencies
This society cannot be civilized
No matter how much technical, industrial and economic progress there is
Rather, he becomes backward and barbaric
