Ramadan Hadiths
Narrated 'A'ishah, may Allah be pleased with her:
The Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, entered upon me one day and asked,
"Do you have anything to eat?"
We said, "No."
He said,
"In that case, I am fasting."
Then he came to us on another day,
and we said, "O Messenger of Allah,
we have been gifted some *hays* (a sweet dish of dates, butter, and dried yogurt)."
So he said,
"Show it to me,
for I had begun the day fasting."
Then he ate from it.
