I am one of the companions of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace
I was an ally of the people of Mecca
When I heard about Islam
I was one of the first to convert to Islam
Where I was sixth six
There is no Muslim on the face of the earth except us
I was known as Ibn Umm Abd
I was known for my many narrations of the hadiths of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace
I was the first to recite the Qur’an aloud in Mecca after the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace
And I was harmed in God’s name because of that
Both migrated
I prayed towards the two qiblahs
I witnessed all the scenes with the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace
I served the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace
And I stayed with him more
And I was the owner of his secret
Some of the companions even thought that I was one of his family
More than seventy surahs were taken directly from his mouth, may God bless him and grant him peace
No one disputed with me about it
I was keen to learn and teach the Qur’an
By God, besides whom there is no god
No verse was revealed from the Book of God
Except I know where it landed
And as I descended
If I knew anyone who was more knowledgeable about the Book of God than me, camels would reach him
I would have ridden to him
By God, the companions of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, knew
I am the one who teaches them the Book of God
And I am not good to them
He, may God bless him and grant him peace, said
Take the Qur’an from four
From Ibn Umm Abd
So my father started
And Moaz bin Jabal
And Ubayy bin Ka'b
And Salem, the client of Abu Hudhayfah
The Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, said to me one day
Read on
I said I will read to you and I will come down to you
He said yes
I would love to hear it from others
So I recited Surah An-Nisa to him
Until I reached what God Almighty said
So what if We bring from every nation a martyr?
We brought you as a witness against these people
He told me, "It's enough for you."
So I turned to him
Then his eyes were filled with tears
One night, the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, entered the mosque
With him were Abu Bakr and Omar, may God be pleased with them
He found me praying and praying
He, may God bless him and grant him peace, said
Ask and it will be given to you
Ask and it will be given to you
Then he said
Whoever is pleased to read the Qur’an as pure as it was revealed
Let him read it by reading Ibn Umm Abd
So when I became
Tomorrow I will go to Abu Bakr, may God be pleased with him, to give me good news
He told me what I asked God yesterday
So I said
I asked God for faith that would not turn away
And endless bliss
And accompany Muhammad to the highest paradise of eternity
Then Omar came to give me good news
He found that Abu Bakr had preceded him
One day I was with the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, and his companions
So I climbed a tree and picked up thorns from the arak
So the wind exposed my legs
The people laughed at me
The Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, said
What are you laughing at?
They said, O Prophet of God
From the accuracy of my legs
He, may God bless him and grant him peace, said
By the One in whose hand is my soul
They are heavier in the scale than the mountain of Uhud
Who am I?
