A new challenge: Who am I?
I am one of the Companions of the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him.
I am one of the elders of the Ansar.
I was quite advanced in age.
I held a lofty status among my people.
I embraced Islam before the arrival of the Prophet, peace be upon him, in Medina.
I was known for my righteousness.
When the Prophet, peace be upon him, arrived at Quba,
following his noble migration,
accompanied by his companion Abu Bakr al-Siddiq, may Allah be pleased with him,
I cried out at the top of my voice.
I called to a servant of mine and said,
"O Najih!"
The Prophet, peace be upon him, heard me.
He turned to Abu Bakr, may Allah be pleased with him, and said,
"You have succeeded, O Abu Bakr."
I attained a great honor—and what an honor it was!
For the Prophet, peace be upon him, stayed with me in my home.
Some of the Muhajirun also stayed with me alongside him.
He remained with me on Monday, Tuesday,
Wednesday, and Thursday.
The Prophet, peace be upon him, would spend the night in my house,
and he would receive people in the house of my neighbor, Sa'd Ibn Khaythama, may Allah be pleased with him,
because his house was more spacious.
Then the Prophet, peace be upon him, and those with him departed for Medina on Friday.
During these four days that he stayed with me,
he established the Mosque of Quba,
the first mosque established in Islam.
“Never stand (to pray) there. A place of worship which was found upon duty (to Allah) from the first day is more worthy that thou shouldst stand (to pray) therein, wherein are men who love to purify themselves. Allah loveth the purifiers.” (9:108)

And Allah loves those who purify themselves.
I did not remain for long after the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, departed from me.
For death overtook me quickly.
Therefore, I did not witness any of the battles with the Muslims.
My death occurred before the Battle of Badr.
I was the first of the Ansar to die in Medina
after the migration of the Prophet, peace be upon him, to it.
