Surat Al-Saffat
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Gather together those who did wrong, and their spouses, and those who worshiped them
Instead of God, guide them to the path of hell
Gather together those who disbelieved in God in this world
And their followers continued to disbelieve in God
And they worshiped no gods other than God
So they directed them to the path of hell
Stop them, they are responsible
What is the matter with you that you do not support?
Rather, today they are surrendering
O angels, imprison these polytheists and their wives
They are responsible for what they worshiped instead of God
What is the matter with you, O polytheists of God, that you do not support one another?
Rather, today they are surrendering to God’s command and decree regarding them
We are certain of his torment
They approached each other asking questions
They said that you were coming to us from the right
They said, “Rather, you are not believers.”
We had no authority over you
Rather, you were a tyrannical people
The humans approached the jinn asking questions
The humans said to the jinn
You, jinn, used to come to us before religion and truth
You deceive us in the strongest ways
The jinn said
Rather, you were not affirming the monotheism of God
We have no argument against you to prevent you from believing
Rather, you polytheists were a people who oppressed God
Transgressing into what you have no right to transgress, such as disobeying God
So what our Lord said is true for us
We are delicious
We misled you. Indeed, we were deceitful
So the punishment of our Lord became necessary for us
We, you and I, will taste torment for our sins and disobedience that we have committed in this world
So we misled you from the path of God and belief in Him
We were lost
On that day, they will share in torment
We do the same to criminals
Then We will make them taste the painful torment
And We will bring them together with their companions in Hell
When they were told, “There is no god but God,” they would become arrogant
And they say, “We have left our gods to a crazy poet.”
Rather, he came with the truth and believed the messengers
These are polytheists in God
They were in this world when they were told, “Say, ‘There is no god but God.’”
They are proud of what is said and arrogant
They say we should abandon the worship of our gods to follow a crazy poet
Rather, they denied that Muhammad was as they described him
Rather, he is a prophet of God who brought the Qur’an from Him
He believed the messengers who were before him
You will taste the painful torment
And you will not be rewarded except for what you used to do
You, O polytheists, will taste painful torment in the afterlife
And you will not be rewarded in the Hereafter except the reward for what you did in this world of disobedience to God
Except sincere servants of God
Those have a known livelihood
Fruits and they are honored
In the gardens of bliss
On a secret opposite each other
They are brought around with a cup of wine
Delightful white for drinkers
There are no ghouls in it, nor do they bleed from it
Except for the servants of God whom He saved on the day He created them for His mercy
They will not taste torment
These sincere people have a known livelihood
It is the fruits that God created for them in Paradise
They are honored with God’s dignity with which God has honored them in the gardens of bliss
On a secret they meet each other
Servants parade around them with a cup of flowing wine
Visible to their unobtrusive eyes
A cup of wine is a pleasure that drinkers enjoy
There is no harm in this wine and there is no harm to the drinker in body or mind
And nothing else
Nor do they worry about drinking it. Their minds bleed
They have minor limbs
As if they were hidden white
And those who are sincere will be in heaven
Women who restricted their limbs to their husbands
They do not extend their gaze to others
The son of the eyes is her bones
As if they were hidden eggs
They looked like they were white and that no human being or jinn had touched them before their husbands
With the egg white that is inside the shell
It is skin covered with yolk
Before any other hand or thing touches it
As for the upper crust
The bird touches it and the hands touch it
They turned to each other asking questions
One of them said that I had a companion
He says, "Are you among those who believe?"
When we die and become dust and bones, will we be indebted?
Some of the people of Paradise approached each other asking questions
Someone from the people of Paradise said
I had a companion
That consort was a demon
That companion was telling him
Are you among those who believe in resurrection after death?
If we die and become dust and bones?
We are the ones who will be held accountable and rewarded
He said: Are you the one who comes out?
So he went out and saw him in the middle of hell
Tallah said that the blocks would satisfy you
Were it not for the grace of my Lord, I would have been among those in attendance
This is the believer who admitted his companions to Paradise
Are you going up into the fire?
Maybe I can see my horn
And they said yes
So he went up into the fire and saw him in the middle of hell
And he said to him
By God, if you exist in this world, you will destroy me by preventing me from believing in the resurrection
Had God not blessed me with His guidance and success in believing in the resurrection
I would have been among those present with you in God's punishment
Are we not dead?
Except our first death, and we will not be tormented
This is a great victory for him
Let the workers work for this
Are we not dead other than our first death in this world?
And we will not be tormented after we enter Paradise
This is the dignity that God has given us in Paradise
That we will not be tortured or die
It is a great salvation from what we used to be in this world, wary of God’s punishment
God Almighty said, mention him
For such is the dignity given to these believers in the afterlife
Let those who work in this world work for themselves
To realize what these people realized by obeying their Lord
Is that the best place to stay or the Zakum tree?
We have made it a trial for the wrongdoers
Is this good that I gave these believers from My dignity in Paradise?
Or what I have prepared for the people of Hell of Zakum
We have made it a temptation for these polytheists
Those who said: How do trees grow in the fire?
And the fire burns the trees
It is a tree that emerges at the root of hell
It looked like the heads of demons
They will eat from it and fill their stomachs with it
It is a tree that emerges at the root of hell
I was fed by fire and from it I was created
In its ugliness and vulgarity, it was as if the trees of the Zakum tree were the heads of demons
For these polytheists, for whom God made this tree, will be a trial
You will eat from this tree, which is the tree of Zakum
Millions of people will fill their stomachs with its sickness
Their reference is to hell
If they met their fathers asking
They are running on their tracks
These polytheists are responsible for what they eat from the Zakum tree
A mixture of hot water
The one who got hottest ended his heat
Then their fate is to hell
These polytheists found their fathers intentionally straying from the path
These people speed them on their way
To follow their footsteps and traditions
Most of the ancients had gone astray before them
And We have sent among them warners
So look at what was the outcome of those who were warned
Except sincere servants of God
O Muhammad, most of the nations before them have strayed from the right path before the polytheists of your people
And We sent warners to the nations that passed before you, warning them of Our punishment
So contemplate and see how We destroyed the warners
Except the servants of God whom We have sincerely believed in God and His messengers
Noah called out to us and those who responded responded
We saved him and his family from great distress
And We made his descendants the ones who remain
God Almighty says mention him
Noah called us by asking us about the destruction of his people
Let us be the best responders. We were His when He called us
So we answered his prayer and destroyed his people
We saved him and his family who boarded the ship with him
From the harm and hatred that he experienced from the unbelievers
From the anguish of flood and drowning
And We made the descendants of Noah those who remained on earth after the destruction of his people
The non-Arabs and the Arabs are the descendants of Shem, son of Noah
The Turks, Saqlabiyya, and Khazars are the sons of Japheth ibn Noah
Sudan is the children of Ham, son of Noah
Thus, the effects came and the scholars said
We left it to others
Peace be upon Noah in the worlds
This is how We reward the doers of good
He is one of our faithful servants
Then we drowned the others
And We preserved Noah with beautiful remembrance and good praise
Of the people who stayed behind after him, they would remind him of him
A guarantee from God for Noah in the worlds that no one would remember him badly
We are as we did to Noah as a reward for our obedience
Thus We reward those who do good and obey Us
Noah was one of our servants who believed in us
So unite us and devote our worship to us
Then We drowned when We saved Noah and his family from the great distress of what remained of his people
