The Garden of Guidance. Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, said: “And (it was said unto him): Take in thine hand a branch and smite therewith, and break not thine oath. Lo! We found him steadfast, how excellent a slave! Lo! he was ever turning in repentance (to his Lord).” (38:44) "Indeed, We found him patient, an excellent servant; truly, he was ever turning back to Allah." And on the authority of Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him), who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "No believer is pricked by a thorn in this world and anticipates Allah's reward for it, except that his sins are subtracted because of it on the Day of Resurrection." Related by Ahmad. A point of benefit: 'Abd al-'Aziz Ibn Abi Dawud (may Allah have mercy on him) said: "Three things are from the treasures of Paradise: concealing affliction, concealing illness, and concealing charity."
