In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. It is Paradise. The names of Paradise. Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds. May the peace and blessings of Allah be upon our Prophet Muhammad. And upon all his family and companions. To proceed: O you who yearn, This is Paradise. Allah has described it, and He is the best of describers. He has adorned it, and He is the best of adorners. He has named it, and He is the best of namers. In Paradise, there is bliss without equal. It has no counterpart or likeness in this world. Its goodness is pure goodness. Its pleasure is pure pleasure. Its delight is pure delight. Here is the abundance of life. The tranquility of living. The peace of mind. The serenity of the soul. The ultimate happiness. The sweetness of food. The purity of drink. The delicacy of clothing. The preciousness of possessions. The splendor of the view. The companionship of the friend. The goodness of the intimate. The beauty of the spouse. And the wide-eyed houris. In it is that which dazzles the eye. In it is the life of the spirit. And the fragrance of basil. In it is the sum of all goodness and bounties. Pearls and coral. And fair, modest maidens. Whom neither man nor jinn has touched before them. And purified honey. And milk whose taste never changes. In it are lush gardens. And fragrant musk. And green silk. And rubies and saffron. There is no illness in it, nor thirst. No hunger, nor nakedness. Perfection and beauty. And everything that the souls desire. And the eyes delight in. So, is there any equal to this bliss? And is there any reason to turn away from it in indifference? Here we rejoice in what we have been given. And we are happy with what we have been granted. The angels meet us, saying: “The Supreme Horror will not grieve them, and the angels will welcome them, (saying): This is your Day which ye were promised;” (21:103) This is your abode for which you were waiting. And your destination in which you shall be happy. And in which you shall abide forever. O people of Paradise, Look around you and contemplate. It is a vast Paradise. Spacious and wondrous. Its width is as the width of the heavens and the earth. If this is its width, Then how vast must its length be? And it is not just one Paradise, Rather, it is gardens within a Paradise. Do you remember Umm Harithah, may Allah be pleased with her? When she came to the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, After her son, Harithah, may Allah be pleased with him, had been killed, By a stray arrow at the Battle of Badr. She said, "O Messenger of Allah, Will you not tell me about Harithah? If he is in Paradise, I shall be patient. But if it is otherwise, I will weep for him intensely." He, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said: "Woe to you, O Umm Harithah, It is gardens within Paradise, And your son has attained the highest Firdaws." Come with me, O people of Paradise, Let us tour these gardens, And get to know them. This Paradise is called the Abode of Peace (Dar al-Salam). For it is the abode of safety from every affliction and harm. Allah the Almighty said: “For them is the abode of peace with their Lord. He will be their Protecting Friend because of what they used to do.” (6:127) And He said: “And Allah summoneth to the abode of peace, and leadeth whom He will to a straight path.” (10:25) So congratulations to you if you have settled therein. Peace from Allah and mercy. You shall enjoy it for all eternity. And this Paradise is called the Abode of Eternity (Dar al-Khuld). Its people shall abide therein forever. They shall never be moved from it. Allah the Almighty said: “Say: Is that (doom) better or the Garden of Immortality which is promised unto those who ward off (evil)? It will be their reward and journey's end.” (25:15) Which the righteous have been promised. “Say: Is that (doom) better or the Garden of Immortality which is promised unto those who ward off (evil)? It will be their reward and journey's end.” (25:15) “Therein abiding, they have all that they desire. It is for thy Lord a promise that must be fulfilled.” (25:16) “Therein abiding, they have all that they desire. It is for thy Lord a promise that must be fulfilled.” (25:16) And this is the Abode of Permanence (Dar al-Muqamah). It is an abode from which there is no departure. And no change, ever. Allah the Almighty said, Relating the words of its people: They will say, "Praise be to Allah, Who has removed all sorrow from us. Indeed, our Lord is Forgiving, Appreciative." “Who, of His grace, hath installed us in the mansion of eternity, where toil toucheth us not nor can weariness affect us.” (35:35) Out of His bounty. “Who, of His grace, hath installed us in the mansion of eternity, where toil toucheth us not nor can weariness affect us.” (35:35) “Who, of His grace, hath installed us in the mansion of eternity, where toil toucheth us not nor can weariness affect us.” (35:35) And those are also the Gardens of Eden (Jannat 'Adn), Meaning the abode of residence. Allah the Almighty said: "Gardens of Eden, which they will enter; They will be adorned therein with bracelets of gold and pearls, And their garments therein will be silk." And those gardens over there, Are the Gardens of Bliss (Jannat al-Na'im). It was distinguished by this name Because of the various types of bliss it contains, Which its people enjoy, Of food, drink, and clothing, And pleasant fragrance, And delightful scenery, And spacious dwellings, And other forms of manifest and hidden bliss. Allah the Almighty said: “Lo! those who believe and do good works, for them are the gardens of delight,” (31:8) And that which is there is a seat of truth (Maq'ad Sidq), Which is the beautiful gathering place, In which there is no vain talk and no sin. The Almighty said: “Lo! the righteous will dwell among gardens and rivers,” (54:54) “Lo! the righteous will dwell among gardens and rivers,” (54:54) "In a seat of truth near a Sovereign, All-Powerful." And among the gardens that surround us also, Is the Garden of Refuge (Jannat al-Ma'wa). It is the Paradise to which the souls of the martyrs ascend. It is to the right of the Throne. Allah the Almighty has informed us about it, Saying: “And verily he saw him yet another time” (53:13) "At the Lote Tree of the Utermost Boundary, Near it is the Garden of Refuge." “When that which shroudeth did enshroud the lote-tree,” (53:16) And there, in the heights, is also the Garden of Firdaws. It is the best of Paradise, its center, and its highest part. From it, the rivers of Paradise gush forth. And its ceiling is the Throne of the Most Merciful. Allah the Almighty said: "Indeed, those who have believed and done righteous deeds, “Lo! those who believe and do good works, theirs are the Gardens of Paradise for welcome,” (18:107) “Wherein they will abide, with no desire to be removed from thence.” (18:108) And know, my beloved ones, That all those orchards and gardens Return to two foundations, And two exquisite types. The first: Two gardens of gold, With all the vessels, ornaments, and palaces they contain. The second: Two gardens of silver, With all the vessels, ornaments, and palaces they contain. Do you remember the saying of Allah the Almighty in Surah al-Rahman: “But for him who feareth the standing before his Lord there are two gardens.” (55:46) These are the two golden gardens, Which Allah has prepared for those brought near and the foremost among His believing servants. Then He also said: "And below them are two [other] gardens." These are the two silver gardens, Which Allah the Almighty has prepared for the Companions of the Right. O people of Paradise, All the bliss of this world is nothing, When compared to the bliss of Paradise. The space occupied by the whip of one of you in Paradise Is better than the world and all that is in it. And the head-covering of a woman of the women of Paradise Is better than the world and all that is in it. So Paradise, O you who yearn, Is pure, its purity perfected. No filth or harm shall ever touch it. Its bliss is pure, It remains, never perishing or fading. It is clear of every impurity, No gloom shall ever mingle with it, And no decay or rot shall ever befall it. So congratulations to its people. In Paradise, there is family one never loses, And loved ones who never depart, And friends who never disappear. And bliss that the imagination cannot grasp, And happiness that knows no end, And dreams that know no impossibility. Paradise is love and embraces, Family and companions, Rivers and birds, Palaces and goodness. That which we have never seen and never heard. This is delight without misery, A life of purity, Pleasing the heart without fatigue. Congratulations to you, O elite of Allah, for a seat, Whose walls are surrounded by the mercy of Allah. To a garden of the eternal Paradise that never ceases, Its fragrance and scent ever-growing. Surrounded by dunes of musk and amber, Its trees and rivers blooming with pride. How excellent are the Gardens of Eden as a dwelling, With playgrounds among the palaces and homes. In the garden of contentment, the pastures are pleasant, Sufficient are its flowers and its brooks. In the Garden of Eden, whose width is as the heavens, And Firdaws is its crown and its throne. Those gardens are encircled by them, as if they were Stars surrounding a full moon that illuminates them. Blessed, then, is the one whose abode is in the Garden of Eternity, And upon whom its Lord and Forgiver sends blessings. O Allah, grant us Paradise and its delights. O Allah, we ask You for the highest level of Paradise, al-Firdaws, Without reckoning and without torment. O Allah, answer our prayer. And this journey has a continuation. It is Paradise.
